Bitcoin donations by Bitcoin maximalists are increasing every day in the Central American country.

Max Keizer and Stacy Herbert, renowned Bitcoin maximalists, have donated $10,000 in Bitcoin to the families of police officers recently killed by gangs in El Salvador.

Recently El Salvador was the victim of a national commotion after the murder of three policemen while they were doing patrol tasks, in the midst of the emergency regime established by the government of Nayib Bukele in order to stop the violence and the escalation of homicides in the Central American country.

Donation Details

In the midst of national mourning, Max Keizer and Stacy Herbert donated $10,000 in Bitcoin to the families of police officers killed in the line of duty, thus demonstrating the extent of solidarity in the world of cryptocurrencies.

On Twitter, Stacy Herbert posted that, “Max and I donated $10,000 on behalf of @bitfinex to each family of the murdered police officers in El Salvador. We were able to speak with the families, including some of the very young children, who had buried their loved ones today after making the ultimate sacrifice for El Salvador.”

At the same time, the Ambassador of El Salvador in the United States, Milena Mayorga, also thanked the maximalist couple’s gesture on behalf of her country: “We appreciate the solidarity of those who do love our country.”

On Twitter, President Nayib Bukele announced that the five members of the 18-S responsible for the murder of the police officers had been neutralized.

Keizer and Herbert Donations to El Salvador Continue

Max Keizer and Stacy Herbert’s bitcoiner solidarity with El Salvador grows every day. On June 28, the couple of maximalists made a significant donation in Bitcoin to young entrepreneurs in the municipality of Apopa after carrying out community service activities.

As reported by BeInCrypto, the donation was $600 in Bitcoin, through the Chivo Wallet, for each of the entrepreneurs who were in charge of beautifying the communities. The total investment amounts to 50,000 dollars.

Weeks before, Max Keizer and Stacey Herbert made a donation of $100,000 in Bitcoin to the Salvadoran community of Ilopango as part of a project that the two crypto enthusiasts have to generate projects and help the inhabitants of the area in their economic development.

It is worth noting that beginning this year, Keizer and Herbert announced the creation of an investment fund focused on companies that develop new advances for the Bitcoin economy. Meanwhile, the couple moved to El Salvador in order to obtain their citizenship and live in a place that promotes the Bitcoin ecosystem. Upon their arrival, they posted via a photo from the plane landing and a small legend that said “home”.

As stated on their social networks, the journalists, who are strong defenders of cryptocurrency, plan to nationalize and stay in the country for a long time. “9 hours in El Salvador and ready for 9 more years, who’s coming to join us?” Stacy Herbert posted alongside a photo with her husband Max Keiser.
