Flexpool would reward the balance to miners in Russia once they cut off the service they bring to those IP addresses. The company calls for the prominent actors in the crypto ecosystem to move their pieces regarding the current conflict.

The armed conflict in Ukraine led to an Ethereum mining pool blockage to customers that count on a Russian IP address. Flexpool, the Ethereum mining pool, recently revealed the termination of its services for all Russian IP addresses and the payment of formidable balances.

This mining pool, which currently consists of 52,174 miners marking54.3 TH/ yes, was pretty clear in its statement about the current status of those Russian IP addresses.

According to information provided by Mining Pool Stats, this Ethereum mining pool ranks in the 5th position regarding processing power. Its computing power equals a third part of the hash rate of the second biggest Ethereum mining pool called f2pool.com.

Flexpool’s revealings came to light right after Russia initiated the fire against relevant regions in Ukraine on Thursday. This decision got rejected by governments and citizens worldwide. In its statement, the Ethereum mining pool explained every reason that pushed the entity to obstruct the service of IP addresses in Russia.

The mining pool called on other entities in the crypto environment to join the protests against Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian ground and apologize for a procedure that could get described as a unilateral decision.

The mining pool expressed that they do not get involved in politics despite the personal opinions of those leading the company. However, they explained that the current conflict is dangerous and goes beyond politics; this war could end the world as people know it.

Russian miners will re-gain the possibility of returning to their mining activities once connections to other mining pools re-establish the platform. However, the rapid increase of new procedures applied by other entities and international punishments that impact cryptocurrency mining or the supply of equipment in the nation seems to be arriving soon.

Vitalik Buterin shared his thoughts regarding Russia’s military attack. According to Buterin, Putin’s operation attacks both the Ukrainian citizens and the Russian people.

Nobody Wants War

Flex pool highlighted that its current position goes beyond political stances; it’s about avoiding a possible chain of destruction and saving lives. Businesses and individuals must prioritize the planet instead of worrying about profit and political positions; Ukraine has four nuclear power plants currently in danger due to the intense attacks.

Even ignoring the possibility of global-scale warfare, there are chances of reaching a disaster like Chernobyl if one of the plants gets across these attacks.
