Orbeon Protocol up 805% during Presale, Popsicle Financial Prices up 285%

Orbeon Protocol and Popsicle Finance rallied this week.

This week, Orbeon Protocol (ORBN) is in the lead with its utility token, ORBN, which is up 805% during its pre-sale, and runner-up Popsicle Finance (ICE) saw a 285% rise over the past week.

ORBN is currently in the third phase of its presale, selling for $0.0362, and focused on revolutionizing VC investing. Popsicle Finance, on the other hand, focuses on providing liquidity for DeFi projects, and saw a surge in popularity due to the return of its founder.

Orbeon Protocol (ORBN) Surged 805% as the Project’s Presale is Getting Close to the Phase 3 Halfway Mark

Orbeon Protocol (ORBN) is a revolutionary new way for investors and startups to work together. With the help of ORBN, startups no longer need venture capitalists to get the money they need to grow. Instead, they can build a community, as well as raise money directly from the people who are part of it.

Startups looking to raise capital can use Orbeon Protocol platform to mint and issue fractional, equity-backed NFTs as a way of investing. Since these NFTs are fractionalized, regular investors can purchase them for as little as $1. Orbeon Protocol (ORBN) makes it much easier and faster than ever for startups to raise money.

Orbeon Protocol uses a “Fill or Kill” mechanism to keep investors safe from failed fundraising rounds. The mechanism is built into the smart contract, and if the fundraising doesn’t work, the money will be automatically returned to the investors.

ORBN, the project’s native utility token, makes this entire Orbeon Protocol ecosystem work. During the pre-sale, there was a lot of interest in ORBN, because the token has many uses, such as bidding for passive income, and project governance rights, among others.

ORBN is already up over 805% on its presale, from $0.004 to $0.362, after competing in phases one and two. Analysts believe that Orbeon Protocol will increase by more than 6,000% during the pre-sale period.

Popsicle Finance (ICE) Soars Nearly 300% Following Founders Return News

Popsicle Finance (ICE) is a performance aggregation technique, first introduced in Fantom (FTM). Controversial but successful Blockchain creator Daniele Sestagalli has announced his return to the project, causing the native token of Popsicle Finance (ICE), a decentralized finance (DeFi) performance and market-making protocol, to skyrocket. Popsicle Finance (ICE) soared nearly 300% on news of Sestagalli’s return to the project.

Limone and Fragola are the two main products offered by Popsicle Finance. Fragola is a Uniswap V3 optimizer that runs on Ethereum and Arbitrum, while Limone is a newly developed multi-chain performance optimizer on Avalanche Testnet that allows users to passively provide liquidity on the exchange, as well as earn significant interest. The future need for such a performance aggregation methodology will determine how quickly Popsicle Finance expands.

The ICE cryptocurrency serves as Popsicle’s governance token. Aiming to be a fully decentralized platform, Popsicle Finance will be run by its users, who are the owners of the ICE governance token. Voting on proposals for protocol updates, pool additions, fee management, and other important operational facets of the protocol will be done using the ICE token.

Ripple vs SEC: LBRY Lawsuit Could Set Legal Precedent

0

Attorney John Deaton believes the outcome of the January 30 hearing will significantly affect the future of the crypto market.

Cryptocurrency lawyer John Deaton believes that the outcome of the upcoming LBRY-SEC hearing will set a legal precedent for the cryptocurrency industry in the United States.

After winning the case, the National Securities Market Commission (SEC) wants LBRY to return the proceeds from all sales of the LBC token and stop interacting with investors.

LBRY vs SEC: a Decisive Hearing for the Cryptomarket

Deaton believes that the outcome of the January 30 hearing will significantly affect the future of the crypto market. Instead of deducting ita work expenses and paying back the remaining amount, LBRY would have to pay back all of ita sales revenue, according to the SEC.

Deaton wonders if the real intention of the American stock market policeman is to “punish the cryptocurrency market”. However, the SEC’s request is clearly at odds with its previous allegations that LBRY used all the proceeds from its sales to develop its content creation platform.

As a reminder, the SEC won a lawsuit against LBRY in November 2022, after accusing the platform of violating Section 5 of the Securities Act, by offering its LBC crypto as an unregistered security. LBC is the utility token of the LBRY network, but it is also available on various crypto exchanges, including CoinEx and Bittrex.

In addition to the fraud cases, the LBRY lawsuit is the second case in which the SEC is seeking reimbursement of sales proceeds. Meanwhile, the issuer of the LBC token, which lost the battle, seeks to limit the sanctions that the SEC could impose on it.

Will Ripple Still Be Able to Stand Up to the SEC?

The SEC also accuses Ripple Labs of selling the XRP cryptocurrency as an unregistered financial security and demands that it returns the proceeds from its sales. Therefore, the outcome of the LBRY hearing is likely to influence the court’s verdict on Ripple and the other “unregistered securities” cases.

The SEC’s restitution claim against Odysee, a decentralized video-sharing platform launched by the creators of LBRY, is also troubling, as Odysee became a fully-fledged entity in October 2021.

The SEC has also filed a permanent injunction to restrict commitment to LBRY unless LBC registration is imminent. According to Deaton, the injunction could expand the SEC’s reach into secondary markets, setting a dangerous precedent for the crypto industry.

Following the SEC’s complaint, LBRY said it told investors that LBC’s value will increase as its platform develops. A statement was rejected by the judge, who ruled that LBC is a financial guarantee.

Unlike LBRY, Ripple has been supported by various market players. However, it is unlikely that LBRY wins the legal battle that has been waging for more than two years.

Important Pillars to Consider When Investing in Cryptocurrencies

0

Learning how to invest in cryptocurrencies correctly is essential.

Investing in cryptocurrencies is not for everyone, it requires study, patience, attention, and several other characteristics. Therefore, if you want to start in this market, it is very important to learn some pillars to invest in cryptocurrencies correctly.

Timing is Paramount

It is almost impossible to enter the market at the right time. But the importance of timing to enter the market depends on your strategy. Some trading strategies are more time-dependent than others, while accumulation strategies like DCA (dollar cost averaging) are completely time-dependent.

Choosing a Strategy that Works for You

Entering the market without a strategy is extremely risky. Once you have your strategy, you choose when and how to enter and exit the market. You should come up with a strategy that can easily fit into your life. Furthermore, you can automate your strategy with trading algorithms.

Strategy without Consistency Just a Random Action

Without a consistent trading strategy, you will make random bets that will lead to random results. That doesn’t mean you can’t tweak or optimize your strategy.

Understanding Market Cycles

At the macro level, the market has two cycles, a bull market, and a bear market. In crypto, the duration of a bear market in the past has been around 2 years, while the duration of a bull market varies.

Gaining Time and Experience in the Crypto Market

Investing at least a small amount in cryptocurrencies would be a good incentive to pay more attention to the current state of the cryptocurrency market. Experience is more important than financial advice. If you are new to the cryptocurrency market, you have chosen the right time to join, just in the middle of a bear market, when prices will be much lower than last year.

Beware of Bitcoin Halving

This happens every 4 years and has played a significant role in the rise of the cryptocurrency market. Historically, the Bitcoin halving has been a sign of a bear market. The next halving is expected to take place in early 2024, when much of the cryptocurrency community is waiting for the start of the new bull market, after this long period of silent accumulation.

Limiting Your Risk

There will often be situations where a project fails or is hit hard, for reasons that were not entirely obvious. As such, no crypto asset is immune from default, but top-tier cryptocurrencies such as BTC and ETH provide a hedge against the high-risk/high-reward nature of the broader crypto market.

Understanding Market Value

The higher the market value of an asset, the more dominant that asset will be in the market. Market capitalization has long been considered an important indicator of success in the cryptocurrency market, but that doesn’t mean large-cap assets aren’t prone to failure. Finally, the market value can be calculated by multiplying the price and the current offer.

At the core of these pillars is the best practice of all for those involved in cryptocurrencies: Do your own research.

This is How 2023 could be in the Crypto Gaming Sector

0

For crypto gaming investors, 2022 was a disastrous year.

Anyone who invested in Axie Infinity (AXS) in early 2022 was certainly disappointed to find that the cryptocurrency has lost around 94 percent of its value since the start of the year. The situation is similar to most other crypto gaming tokens.

Throughout 2022, it became known that most play-to-win game mechanics were untenable. In many ways, most crypto games these days are based solely on hype and speculation, which often hurts the fun and long-term survival of games.

Despite the market crash, there were still around a million Blockchain daily active players for most of 2022. Wax Blockchain currently leads the number of daily players with 315,000. Wax hosts several major games like Splinterlands and Farmers World.

Current State of the Crypto Gaming Sector

Despite the abovementioned, the pioneers of many models of money-making games have played an important role in stimulating the interest of many brilliant minds in recent years. For example, Grand Theft Auto founder Dan Houser invested in crypto game company Revolving Games, and game developer Ubisoft wants to delve into crypto games as well.

In 2021 alone, around 3.6 billion US dollars went into the development of crypto game projects and this wave of investment has not abated in 2022 either. On the contrary: Venture capital firm Delphi Digital assumes that investments in crypto game development will be slightly above those of the previous year, despite the bear market.

Despite the moderate interest in crypto gaming and the comparatively low number of users, the sector should not be discounted. Crypto gaming is one of the most lucrative sectors for venture capital firms.

Game Development Takes Time

Most people forget that good-quality game development takes much longer than in most other crypto sectors. For this reason, all gaming and Blockchain enthusiasts should keep their cool. The crypto gaming sector is still in its infancy, and the last hype cycle could have been the first, similar to Bitcoin.

Despite a bad year from a technical point of view, the crypto gaming sector still offers many opportunities for the future of gaming.

Crypto games in 2023

Several traditional gaming companies are currently entering the crypto market. Ubisoft has made partnerships and investments in various Blockchain gaming companies. Also, Blankos Block Party, the first crypto game, launched on the Epic Game Store last September. Furthermore, it is reported that, in spring 2023, Final Fantasy maker Square Enix wants to launch Symbiogenesis, an NFT-based browser game, on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Other triple-A crypto games such as Illuvium (ILV), Guild of Guardians (GOG), and Ember Sword (EMBER) will also be released in 2023. Therefore, it is quite conceivable that one of these games will manage to attract a larger number of players.

Therefore, the first Triple-A crypto games can be expected to be released in 2023, which will offer a completely new crypto gaming experience that combines high-quality game graphics, as well as sophisticated gameplay with Blockchain technology for the first time. However, it is not yet clear whether these games will make a breakthrough, and whether the gaming community will truly embrace the new play-to-win game models.

Why Hedera Could Make a Surprising Comeback in the 2023 NFT Market

0

Hedera made some significant developments in 2022, paving the way to become an NFT powerhouse. A price pivot could be on the way, as HBAR was coy about oversold conditions despite the downside.

Now that 2022 is winding down, it’s time to recap the performance of some of the top-tier firsts. Hedera [HBAR] rose to prominence over the past year, as it saw some significant developments that may lay the foundation for strong growth in the future.

There were notable developments and partnerships in 2022 that underlined Hedera’s potential for further growth in the NFT market. These included the network’s collaboration with LG Art Lab, a partnership that aimed to facilitate the distribution of NFTs.

Hedera’s Partnership with LG Art Lab

In a December 27 tweet, LG Art Lab reiterated its commitment to building the Hedera network despite the challenges facing the market in 2022:

“As the markets continue to work out the inner details of FTX’s collapse, HBAR has had volatile movements as projects continue to build on top of Hedera. In a recent interview with HBAR Foundation’s Chief Legal Officer, he stated that Hedera has already issued grants to more than 150 projects that are currently building on Hedera layer 1 hashgraphs. Regardless of external conditions, companies will continue to adopt and leverage this nascent technology and industry. Hedera continues to show promise as an industry-leading hashgraph solution.”

The LG Art Lab update also confirmed that it was already building more than 150 projects on the Hedera network, thus contributing to healthy network adoption despite unfavorable external market conditions.

Such partnerships and developments will allow Hedera to play a bigger role in the mass adoption of NFTs.

2022 wasn’t exactly the best year for Hedera NFTs. Although it kicked off with healthy NFT trading volumes at the beginning of the year, demand waned as the market faced external economic pressures.

The partnership with LG Art Lab can facilitate faster adoption of digital art, which can be displayed through LG screens. This would encourage support not only in the NFT market but also in the art industry. However, what this means for HBAR performance remains to be seen.

Can Hedera’s NFT Activity Revive the HBAR Lawsuit?

Hedera’s market impact was reflected in HBAR’s price action, which was heavily discounted in 2022. Its price of $0.040 is the same it was trading at in January 2021.

Is a pivot being worked on? HBAR is still slightly below oversold conditions despite the downside. Its RSI indicated positivity after retesting its lower range for the second time in the last four weeks. Also, its weekly volatility metric has changed in the last two days, indicating more incoming volatility.

The increased volatility was also accompanied by a rally in Hedera’s Binance funding rate, suggesting that there was some demand stimulus for HBAR in the derivatives market at the moment. This was especially interesting because a resurgence in demand for derivatives often precedes demand in the spot market.

The above analysis meant that HBAR bulls could show their muscles in the coming days. The price drop can also be a great opportunity for long-term holders looking for a deeply discounted entry point.

Bahamas Seizes $3.5 Billion’s Worth of FTX

0

According to Bahamian regulators, $3.5 billion worth of seized assets are being held in safe custody, with the intention of returning them to misled investors, at the discretion of the courts.

As former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried awaits his court hearing on January 3, the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Bahamas (SCB) announced that it will seize $3.5 billion worth of digital assets from FTX Digital Markets You have. This FTX entity is a subdivision of the Bahamian crypto exchange.

The assets were seized on November 12, according to Blookmberg. That was the day FTX filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Steps Taken Immediately After Filing Bankruptcy

Bloomberg announced via Twitter that “The Bahamian regulator took control of $3.5 billion worth of digital assets at FTX Digital Markets shortly after it filed for bankruptcy, based on information provided by Sam Bankman-Fried.”

Interestingly, according to the Bahamian authorities, the confiscation of the digital assets occurred on the advice of SBF. He reportedly warned SCB of an imminent demise of client funds that would ensue if no action was taken.

Just hours after filing for bankruptcy, $372 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen. More than half of the $700 million sum is said to have been withdrawn via FTX. The confiscation of the SCB probably prevented even worse things from happening.

Funds are to be Returned to Investors at the Court’s Discretion

Funds held by the SCB will be returned to their respective owners, according to the press release provided by the Bahamas Authority:

“Digital assets transferred on November 12, 2022, will be temporarily held by the Commission until the Supreme Court of the Bahamas orders the Commission to extradite them to the customers and creditors who own them or to the JPLs (Joint Preliminary Administrators) that will be administered under the rules on the bankruptcy estate for the benefit of FTXDM clients and creditors”.

The SCB also stressed that it will continue its own investigation into the collapse of FTX Digital Markets and the collapse of FTX itself. The investigation relates specifically to the relationship between FTXDM and Alameda, which allegedly had an inherent advantage in trading on the exchange. The merger of funds between these two entities is still being resolved in court.

This SCB move will provide some relief to local investors in particular, as FTX interim CEO John Ray III previously stated that international clients, as compared to those based in the United States, risk losing a higher percentage of their funds.
