Three cloud computing stocks currently on the rise

Mass gatherings stopped taking place. Besides, working from home became an increasingly common practice as time went on. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, more consumers are using cloud computing services to carry out their work.

Cloud-based solutions are growing every day to satisfy the needs of people who work remotely in coordination, conduct video conferences, watch online classes, manage a business, and even play games with their friends or online. Big data and cloud computing also play a critical role in the healthcare industry, as many professionals continue to fight COVID-19.

The high demand in the cloud computing sector led to a strong performance in equal prices within this sector. Here are two cases to consider:

Microsoft is listed as one of the key players in the infrastructure sector for cloud services, contributing an 18% market share, increasing from last year when it contributed 16%.

According to Microsoft’s CEO, by managing larger data centers, the company is ahead of several cloud service providers, with Mexico and Spain being the countries that recently joined its product line.

For the past quarter, the company posted 29% revenue from its cloud product direction, an equivalence to about $ 12.3 billion. It is estimated that it has a cash flow equivalent to USD 13.7 billion for the last quarter, which increases by 25% each year.

MSFT.US is moving above the Simple Moving Averages (SMAs) for periods of 50, 100, and 200 days since April this year. They recently detected and registered an increase of 1.16% last Thursday, touching a new maximum equivalent to USD 216; it has increased approximately 35% so far this year, with gains of 9.7% in the last week.

NVIDIA

Computer hardware manufacturer NVIDIA also shows significant growth within the industry. This multinational company appears as the main supplier of GPU equipment for recognized providers of cloud services, which is reflected in the growth of its sales. Its data center revenue marked an increase to about USD 2.99 billion this year, leaving behind the USD 339 million capitalized back in 2016.

The Totality of the sales for this period rose by 80% compared to the previous year and exceeding USD 1.14 billion for what will be the first quarter of fiscal 2021. NVDA.US is trading at USD 415.09 at press time and is up more than 70% this 2020.

Investor and Billionaire Ray Dalio: “Governments will ban Bitcoin if it Becomes Too Successful”

0

In an interview with Yahoo Finance, Ray Dalio argued that governments would not allow Bitcoin to materialize and maintain its success. He says that Bitcoin is not a store of value and has problems as a transaction vehicle.

Billionaire investor and founder of the world’s largest hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, Ray Dalio, believes that governments will outlaw Bitcoin (BTC) if it becomes very successful. This was stated by Dalio himself in an interview on YouTube with Julia LaRoche from Yahoo Finance.

During the interview, in addition to Bitcoin, they discussed capitalism, the wealth gap, why the education system is failing these days, millennials, and more. Specifically, about Bitcoin, Dalio explained why he prefers gold and expressed doubts about whether governments will allow BTC to become a helpful currency to the public.

“If [Bitcoin] materializes, governments will not allow it. I mean, they will ban it and will go out of their way to enforce that. They will say, ‘Okay, you can’t make transactions [with] Bitcoin. You cannot have a Bitcoin”.

So if I were to say, “Do I prefer Bitcoin to gold? No, I would not prefer Bitcoin to gold. Gold will be the vehicle that central banks and countries will choose as an alternative to normal cash”.

Ray Dalio Says Governments Will Ban Bitcoin

According to Daily Hodl, Dalio cites other issues he notes with Bitcoin, in addition to potential problems with the government. Dalio said:

“I, nowadays, cannot take my Bitcoin yet and easily go shopping with it. Its volatility, which is based on speculation, is so great that it does not allow it to be an effective store of wealth. That is also one of the reasons why it is a problem to be a transaction vehicle because if a seller says: ‘They will pay me in Bitcoin ‘, and you don’t know what that means, it’s a problem”.

As the popularity of digital currency increases, Dalio predicted that digital versions of fiat currencies will crowd out crypto assets like Bitcoin.

“Not investing in China would be very risky “

In another vein, on Wednesday, Dalio supported China’s sudden decision to suspend the historic listing of the Ant Group, which amounts to USD 37,000 million. This is a report by the Market Inside media.

Dalio said there is a risk of being too lax on innovation, as Ant is a “totally new concept in terms of banking.” He also added that not investing in China is a real severe risk because the printing of a lot of money in the US is threatening the state of the dollar reserves.

Dalio, who has long advocated going all out in China, said that people accused him of being biased, naïve, and in some cases unpatriotic while his personal opinion is that he’s just being objective.

Let’s talk about Joe Biden’s victory and what it means for Bitcoin.

0

An insight into the possible effects that Biden’s confirmation as president of the United States would have.

Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election could change the world in many different and radical ways. On the one hand, it is a defeat for talkative populism and the fall of a “strong man”. Donald Trump is quite reminding us that a populist and charismatic leader not always wins.

A figure is more personal than institutional, more visceral than rational, and more conflictive than conciliatory. The first change lies in the tone and the nature of the speech. Joe Biden is a much more traditional politician. That is, his style is less related to third world populism.

In slightly more advanced democracies, the institutional prevails over the personal. And complaints are treated as complaints. This implies that the complainant must present evidence. And it is the judge who has the last word. Meanwhile, deprive the principle of innocence until proven otherwise.

Donald Trump has yet to show proof of the alleged fraud. And his accusations appear to be unfounded. For that reason, the media, the leaders of the United Kingdom, most of Europe, governments in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and America have recognized his victory.

In Latin America, two governments, Brazil and Mexico, have yet to acknowledge Biden’s victory. Interestingly, both are populist governments. Additionally, the governments of Russia and China have decided to wait to state on the matter. Both are authoritarian governments. Institutionality is the key concept here.

Donald Trump has the right to file complaints. If one has evidence of fraud, one must present it. But he is not a judge. It is not the Supreme Court of Justice. In other words, it cannot issue a sentence. That makes Joe Biden the sole winner of the election (until proven otherwise).

Joe Biden’s victory and the Pfizer vaccine have brought a lot of optimism among investors. And optimism means buyers. Buyers mean hikes. Is Biden a communist or a left-wing radical? Of course not, it is important to remember that Joe Biden is no stranger. Biden is a well- known face in USA politics for many, many years.

Their positions are widely known. He (Biden) is too far from being a radical. Biden is a moderate center; a centrist. He does not belong to the radical gang of his party. Biden is not a Bernie Sanders, an Elizabeth Warren, or even an Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. We are not talking about the New Green Deal here.

Associating Joe Biden with the radical left during the campaign was a laboratory strategy on the part of Trump’s command.

Biden’s economic plan is not bad at all. We can find the classic democratic proposal in every idea he states. It is also important to remember that Democratic administrations are better for the economy than Republican ones. There is no radicalism anywhere. The richest surely will pay more taxes. Yes, we will have a generous stimulus package. But, in this case, unlike the Trump packages, we will have a greater emphasis on fiscal stimuli and not so much on monetary ones.

A Billionaire Hedge Fund Manager Uses Bitcoin as a Store of Value

Even though Druckenmiller has invested in Bitcoin, he still has higher allocations in gold. The investor describes the cryptocurrency as an attractive store of value.

With over 30 years in the financial world, Stanley Freeman Druckenmiller has become an authoritative voice in the United States. He is one of the most successful investors and hedge fund managers in the country. His reputation has grown even more due to his recent statements about Bitcoin.

In recent days, Druckenmiller suggested that he is convinced of the success of Bitcoin as a store of value in an interview for the CNBC news network. The investor considers that, in the face of a possible devaluation of the US dollar (USD), gold and Bitcoin could be store-of-value assets with good prospects.

On one occasion, he predicted that the British pound (GBP) would depreciate as a result of Brexit. Similarly, Druckenmiller predicts that the US dollar could begin to devalue within three to four years. The financial expert has even started betting against the US dollar, according to reports from Bloomberg. Meanwhile, he keeps his allocations in gold and the cryptocurrency that Satoshi Nakamoto created.

The investor said that he has positioned “many times” larger in gold. However, he clarified that he also relies on Bitcoin as a store of value. The reasons for this are that Bitcoin has characteristics in its favor that gold does not have, such as its liquidity, portability, and ease of transfer.

He concluded that “if the gold bet works, the Bitcoin bet will probably work better.” Likewise, Druckenmiller highlighted the fact that the best performing cryptocurrency on the market is now more than 12 years old. With this, he suggests that it is a project with a certain maturity and increasing stability. In this sense, he believes that Bitcoin is attractive as a store of value not only for millennials. He notes that the “new west coast” has invested a lot of money in cryptocurrency.

Within the US financial market, Stanley Druckenmiller has earned a significant reputation, having created his own hedge fund company, Duquesne Capital. He also worked together with George Soros, one of the most controversial billionaires of recent times. Druckenmiller is currently focusing on his investments, which are not few. According to Forbes, he is one of the richest men in the United States.

Druckenmiller’s statements may not be enough to contribute to the trend for Bitcoin as a store of value. However, he is not the only legendary investor who has spoken highly of Bitcoin in recent days. Bill Miller, one of Amazon’s early investors and Legg Mason Capital Management’s key part, said that Bitcoin has had an excellent year and an even more excellent month.

Soon after, Bitcoin and finance researcher Preston Pysh himself confirmed that Miller has been venturing into the Bitcoin world since 2015. This practice makes him a long-time cryptocurrency hodler. This fact fuels the narrative that institutional investors are actively participating in this market.

According Hester Peirce, the SEC should go faster with The Regulation in Certain Areas, for Example, Cryptocurrencies

0

Peirce pointed out that while the SEC works slowly, there are issues that it should speed up, such as cryptocurrencies.

The representative of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Hester Peirce – better known within the digital currency ecosystem as “Crypto Mom” – pointed out that there are compelling reasons why the local government and Regulators are so slow in the progress on regulations regarding cryptocurrencies.

Peirce’s statements took place during the Bitcoin for Advisors online event, organized by the CoinDesk team, where the official assured that the SEC is gradually approaching a good spot for new financial technologies, which include digital currencies.

In this regard, Peirce commented:

“Regulators are slow and there is a reason this is so. We need to have a well-established process to make sure that when we change the rules, people know that we are thinking of making changes and can express their views”.

Regarding the weight of the regulations, Peirce assured that they have no intentions to limit the use of technologies, so the idea is that they guide a guide for innovators to build a wide range of tools and platforms.

However, according to Peirce’s statements, there are very outdated regulations that do not conform to the current state of new technologies, so its vision is that the SEC should go faster with certain areas, specifying especially the case of cryptocurrencies:

“There are circumstances where we have a framework in the SEC dating back to 1930 and 1940, and they have been added over time. Certainly, now that we are looking at what is happening in the crypto space, for example, there are areas where we have to make adjustments and I think we should move faster… I am impatient for that”

Peirce’s proposals

Going deeper into the latter, Peirce highlighted two areas in which, in his view, the SEC could move more quickly: The first has to do with allowing new cryptocurrency offerings to operate within a regulatory framework of reference. While the second is related to enabling more access to Bitcoin for the retail sector, highlighting regulated products such as an ETF (stock exchange-traded fund) for the digital currency.

The official noted that, like her, other SEC officials have expressed their views regarding a Bitcoin ETF, but that there is still some way to go before reaching a total resolution.

On the other hand, Peirce highlighted that other elements can be a bit more complicated to consider, such as the approval for stockbrokers that provide services with digital currencies in the United States, because its operation is already the responsibility of other regulatory authorities.

Regulators will continue their work on cryptocurrencies

Taken into account that recently the elections held in the United States apparently gave former Vice President Joe Biden the position of the winner amidst a legal request by the Republican Party of recounting votes of the entire process, Peirce assured that this does not affect in any way the line of work that the SEC has been conducting to date, so it is very likely that the regulatory body will continue working on the approach to cryptocurrencies.

In this regard, the SEC official commented that this issue is a priority even for congressmen within the Republican Party as well as for representatives of the Democratic Party, so digital currencies will continue to be a priority issue in the upcoming months.

Ripple bought $ 45 million worth of its own XRP cryptocurrency

0

They say that the purchase was to support healthy markets and that they may do so again. They claim they are developing resources so that they do not need to make XRP purchases in the future.

The Ripple Company bought USD 45.5 million of the XRP cryptocurrency that they issue during the third quarter of this year. They did so, they said, to “support healthy markets.” According to the reports that the company provides, this would be the first time they have ever bought their cryptocurrency.

According to a report from this company, they may continue to buy XRP to support their line of credit, which was launched a month ago. This service, which works in its trial version, is available to clients of Ripple’s Liquidity On-Demand (ODL) platform. It is made up of businesses and companies that use XRP to carry out cross-border payments.

Ripple reported that they are “building new capabilities” to obtain liquidity in XRP from the market and not just from the purchases the company makes. Ripple currently holds almost half of the total XRP supply, with a market capitalization of $ 11.49 billion. The company defines this cryptocurrency as “a convenient instrument to link two different currencies quickly and efficiently.”

The buying and selling of XRP by its issuers is a practice frequently questioned because of the power this has to manipulate the market. In February this year, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse had pointed out in an interview with the Financial Times that if it weren’t for the token sales, the company would not be profitable and the cash flow would be negative.

Months after this confession, Ripple began a transformation process to encompass new markets. Currently, it no longer seeks to provide services only to banking institutions but rather aims to be a gigantic financial platform or, in the words of its CEO, “the Amazon of payments.”

What Is XRP?

XRP is a digital asset created for payments. It is the native digital asset on the XRP Ledger—an open-source; it is a permissionless-decentralized blockchain technology that can settle transactions in 3-5 seconds. XRP can be sent directly without a central intermediary, making it a convenient tool to build a bridge between two different currencies and efficiently and fastly.

How can you use XRP?

Simply, it is faster, carries a far less cost, and is more scalable than any other digital asset, XRP, and the XRP Ledger’s mission is to power up innovative technology around the payments space. Ripple is focused on building technology to help unleash new utility for XRP and improve global payments. Third parties are also pursuing other XRP-related use cases.
