A series of ten challenges will allow developers in the crypto sector to obtain rewards in BTC for the creation of tools.
The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) organization recently launched the Bitcoin Bounty Challenge initiative to offer BTC rewards to crypto developers. In this sense, it places ten challenges for the creation of tools aimed at improving solutions related to the Bitcoin network.
The recently announced initiative seeks to increase the usability and security of some second-layer solutions. Among them are Lightning Network, E-Cash, and Nostr. Thus, it would bring improvements for the network in general, in addition to becoming strong support for open-source developers.
Developers have 522 days to deliver their tool projects. It is worth mentioning that, if the ten proposals meet expectations, the functionality of the network would enter another level of security, which implies greater benefits for users of the digital currency.
Some Participation Details for Crypto Developers
These challenges with rewards launched to crypto developers are quite complex. Hence, the time to execute them is considerable. Likewise, the payments point to a total of 2 BTC for each challenge.
HRF ensures that the set of challenges is open to adding new rewards to the course. “We are going to release an initial set of 10 bounty challenges. We may add more rewards as we go along. They explain that “an individual or team that completely solves any of the 10 challenges will be able to receive a reward of 2 BTC.”
In any case, developers have until December 31, 2024, to submit their creations. The foundation claims that participation is free and private developers and organizations working in the same direction can compete in it.
“The first person or group to verifiably solve each challenge or mini-challenge will be eligible to receive a BTC grant from HRF,” the note added.
With these elements, developers in the crypto sector have the opportunity to start working now to chase their rewards.
Some of the Challenges
The so-called Bitcoin Bounty Challenge launched by HRF is aimed at supporting developers in the crypto sector. At the same time, it seeks to generally improve the capacity of the Bitcoin network. The openness towards the community so that they participate by offering incentives allows creating more sustainable goals for this chain of blocks.
Thus, the challenges look complex to the lay eyes of non-developers and probably experts as well. One of them is the creation of a dynamic mobile multi-signature non-custodial wallet (multisig) powered by FROST. Basically, this challenge tool should allow users to modify the set of signatories without the need to move the funds to a new address.
HRF claims that submitted proposals will be shared with outside experts, who will impartially determine whether they are functional. “Discerning whether the submissions meet the reward requirements” is the role of industry experts who will evaluate them,” the text reads.
On the other hand, the foundation says that it will make charitable rewards for those developers in the crypto sector who have worked in good faith. In this sense, the developers who have not conquered the first place, but who have done their best, will not be left out.
