Brazilian project wants to preserve the Amazon through NFTs and already has the player Hulk’s support.

It is not easy to protect the Amazon rainforest. There are many interests of various kinds, from those looking for areas to cultivate to pharmaceutical companies looking for new solutions, including lumber companies, there are many predators for a few preys.

A Brazilian project called Amazon League Club, promises to save this planet through NFTs that correspond to real conservation sites within the 6 Brazilian biomes that are found in the Amazon rainforest, the largest tropical forest in the world and that covers, in addition to Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Guyana, French Guiana, Suriname, Venezuela, and Bolivia.

The project is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Bruno Souza, Mano Mendes, Kaleb Melo, and Clynson Silva de Oliveira. Together, they decided to create a league where anyone can become a hero and leave a legacy in preserving the environment.

“The true justice league is a green justice league, which opposes the exploitation of natural media and the enrichment dynamics created by those who try to control the narrative for their own good,” says Kaleb Melo, CVO of the project.

What Amazon League Club is all about

The project is a collection of NFT cards that become private land preservation areas, and in this first series, they belong to the Atlantic Forest and Brazilian Amazon biomes. For each NFT sold, a private area of 10m² is preserved in regions such as the Amazon and Pipa Beach, located in Rio Grande do Norte.

Next to them is Hulk, famous Atlético Mineiro player. The Brazilian ace leads a “league of heroes” and debuts the first Amazon League Club collection.

“The Brazilian people already know the importance of preservation. Within my life experience, I fought a lot together with other comrades and I know that these people will finally be recognized in their fight with the help of this great hero, the Hulk,” Melo added.

Initially, Collection Hulk preserves 1,000,000m² of land, in addition to providing exclusive privileges such as airdrops, travel raffles, and access to the community, and to the hero of the collection, in addition to containing images made by the world-renowned Paraiba photographer, Toddy Holanda.

The complete collection will be presented on July 18 in Miami, with the illustrious presence of a lucky one who will come out of the green list, which will be formed from the project’s discord group. The first collection, called Collection Hulk and Collection Hulk Exclusive, has 3,077 pieces that are already on sale at OpenSea.

Other Initiatives

For decades, some way to protect the Amazon Rainforest has been sought, and in addition to the Amazon League, a Brazilian company that owns 410 square kilometers of forest presented itself last March: Nemus.

Since March this year, Nemus has started selling NFTs, giving buyers a unique sponsorship of forest tracts of different sizes. They promise that the profits will go to preserve trees, regenerate logged areas and promote sustainable development.

Those who buy the NFT will not own the land, but they will have data on its conservation, from satellite images to licenses and more.
