The Argentine analyst said the price of Bitcoin could reach between USD 96,000 and USD 116,000 in the short term. He finds it illogical to think of the possibility of banning BTC thanks to all the support the crypto world has received.
Argentine financial market analyst, bitcoiner, and lawyer Carlos Maslatón recently predicted that the value of Bitcoin might increase significantly. He also introduces himself on his Twitter account as a Manchesterian right-wing liberal at the vanguard of anti-communism.
The Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) organized some talks on cryptocurrencies, where Maslatón discussed the future of Bitcoin.
The main features of the Bitcoin project that Maslatón highlighted are its decentralized nature and its limited supply. He also mentioned that it allows for transactions without intermediaries and provides financial freedom to transfer value at any time.
The expert considers that the pioneering cryptocurrency is a ban-proof financial product.
Maslatón Predicts that Bitcoin Will Be above USD 100,000
Carlos Maslatón stated that the price of Bitcoin will be close to USD 400,000 in just one year. However, he said it will not reach that level immediately but will first climb gradually.
He predicted that it could reach between USD 96,000 and USD 116,000 in the short term. The bullish trend pushing Bitcoin to unseen levels would explain that increase.
The Argentine lawyer considers a new upward trend to foresee two price targets: USD 96,000 and USD 116,000. Maslatón also predicts that the value of Bitcoin may even reach USD 399,000 in the longer term. However, he clarified that the latter would only occur if it did not drop below USD 37,500.
He believes that there will be no direct way for the price to rise if it goes down from that level. He explained that people cannot always think the same way in economics, as the market must confirm their opinions.
The financial market analyst confessed he was not interested in buying meme coins like Shiba and DOGE or non-fungible tokens (NFT).
He Considers that It Is Impossible to Ban Bitcoin
Carlos Maslatón believes it is impossible to ban Bitcoin as it is a sanction-proof financial product.
He compared prohibiting Bitcoin to banning the sun or the moon, which is impossible. He finds it illogical to think that someone could stop it, as all the support for the crypto world is unstoppable.
Curiously, Maslatón thinks that the price will possibly reach USD 1 million in the distant future Bitcoin. The analyst noted that this is indirectly the dominant trend.
Finally, he told investors to see the Bitcoin price with calm, not with nervousness. He pointed out that those who only believe in the fundamentals buy when it rises or sell because it is down».
Bitcoin is trading at around USD 40,192 and has accumulated a 0.6% loss over the last 24 hours. Its trading volume is above USD 16.39 billion, and its market capitalization is about USD 764.81 billion.
