Bitcoin Lake shared with its followers on Twitter a summary of its achievements in recent months. Another strong point that Bitcoin Lake has used in its BTC adoption strategy in the area has been the collaboration with Bitcoin Beach Wallet.

Bitcoin Lake, the greatest exponent of Bitcoin maximalist in Guatemala, has shared with Twitter followers a summary of the achievements made in recent months. Among the results, it stands out having promoted Bitcoin education among the local population at all levels, generating interest and learning even among the youngest.

Bitcoin Lake has carried out teaching activities in primary education schools. The classes seem to be far from simple overviews, as cutting-edge Bitcoin technology such SeedSigner has been introduced to all interested students, regardless of their age.

Through community work, the initiative has highlighted the advantages and opportunities of Bitcoin among people of all ages, including basic education. This is in line with the experience that Patrick Melder gained from El Zonte, where young people play a key role in the adoption of BTC.

This has led to the setting up of the first Bitcoin node in a school in Guatemala, and perhaps in all of Central America. The educational project has also benefited local people in their learning of the English language, among other activities.

Introducing the Bitcoin Beach Wallet

Another of the strengths that Bitcoin Lake has used in its BTC adoption strategy in the area has been the collaboration with Bitcoin Beach Wallet, a Salvadoran project originating in Zonte, whose objective is to expand the adoption of BTC nationwide.

It also highlights the recent introduction of Stable Sats by Galoy Money. The advance constitutes an alternative to stablecoins or fiat bank integration. Stablesats uses derivative contracts to create a Bitcoin-backed synthetic dollar pegged to the USD.

“Introducing BTC Beach Wallet to the community provided an intuitive and easy-to-use system for accepting and storing Bitcoin. And introduced stable sats by GaloyMoney! In the process, we developed a user-friendly point of sale system for the community.”

Bitcoin Lake: The Bet on the New Generations

Bitcoin Lake leader, Patrick Melder, has taken into account the experience of the El Zonte community in El Salvador and has made the necessary adjustments to accelerate the adoption of BTC in Atitlán.

An important point that stands out in its strategic plan is the opening towards the new generations and the role that they will be able to catalyze the adoption of BTC in the local economy.

“I have had the pleasure of chatting with Chimbera from Bitcoin Beach in El Salvador. Chimbera’s experience in El Zonte informs us that trying to educate merchants or older users first is not the right approach. Chimbera feels love for young people in its community. A community, like most of Central and South America, where there are opportunities.”

So far, the project seems to be getting results in several generations: BTC has become accepted in various types of businesses, regardless of the sector or the resources they possess.

Bitcoin has become more relevant in local commerce, regardless of its size, from tortilla shops, local stores, and even the hotel industry, as in the case of the Hotel Del Lago in Atitlán.
