The Fire, a Disaster

As commented, the weekend lived hell in Chile. A 1.5-hectare got destroyed by fire and affected the town of Chiloé, leaving hundreds of victims in its wake.

The mayor of Castro, Juan Eduardo Vera, said many homes got affected by the flames. The tragedy took effect due to the rapid advance of the fire. Firefighters from three communes took part in the operation.

On December 13, the Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory confirmed the discovery of various remains, in addition to the consumption of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes in the house where the fire would have started, according to local press reports.

The mayor said the work of the Fire Department has been tremendous, and solidarity comes as a priority and can get appreciated in how each family, each neighbor, has helped to contribute with others to help them get what they can from their homes.

Bitcoin as a Tool to Donate and Support

BTC has been used for solidarity purposes before. This same year, there were signs of inclusion and support framed in the first cryptocurrency. Kraken donated at least $ 150,000 in BTC to an African-American group of investors and enthusiasts.

A year ago, the international community rallied in favor of a young Colombian, who was donated 1 BTC in less than 24 hours, after enthusiasts helped him believe even more in Satoshi’s project.
