PlanB Predicts the Price of Bitcoin Will Exceed USD 130,000 in December

The price of Bitcoin will remain in an uptrend and will reach all-time highs in a staggered manner. Futures ETFs and inflation are positively impacting the price of BTC.

Analyst PlanB estimates that the price of Bitcoin (BTC) will reach USD 98,000 in November and will exceed USD 130,000 before 2020. The researcher uses the Stock-to-Flow (S2F) model to predict the value of the cryptocurrency in the coming months. In this regard, he says that Christmas will be beautiful this year.

PlanB recently spoke about the level of accuracy of its prediction model. He recalled that he had said the price of Bitcoin would close above USD 40,000 in August. In addition, he noted that he had forecast it would drop a bit in September but close above USD 63,000 in October.

Since 2012, the price of Bitcoin has met the parameters set in the Stock-to-Flow model. Based on it, he estimates that the cryptocurrency will be worth USD 135,000 in December.

However, the followers of PlanB have lost confidence in their predictions due to considerable corrections the price of the cryptocurrency. That happened in June, but the public believes once again in his estimates.

The S2F model builds on the theory that Bitcoin is a store of value like gold or silver. Those precious metals retain their value in the long term due to their relative scarcity. PlanB correlates the stock or quantity of available assets with the flow or amount of Bitcoin mined annually. Based on that, he projects where the price of the pioneering cryptocurrency can go.

Launch of ETFs in the United States Impacts Bitcoin Positively

On October 20th, the price of BTC set a new all-time high, exceeding USD 67,000. PlanB believes that the launch of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States contributed to this.

The market analyst noted that the community has been waiting for ETFs for a long time. In addition, he considers that they have positively impacted the market for that reason. He said that this is the SEC’s first step toward an instrument it understands well, like ETFs. However, he commented that those investment tools were not as good as cash.

According to the researcher, another factor that is greatly influencing the price of Bitcoin is inflation. He stated that the US Federal Reserve (FED) printed a lot of money to provide relief aid. He argued that the prices of all products have risen, including Bitcoin.

Based on the elements that come together to increase the price of BTC, PlanB does not foresee a considerable correction in the short term. Regardless, he believes that the Bitcoin market is not yet mature enough to reduce its volatility.

PlanB expressed that he believes people are still in the grip of greed and fear but the time for a change will come. He said that could happen during the next halving or after 2024 when Bitcoin becomes a global reserve currency.

A Nurse in the US quit his Job at a Hospital to Trade Cryptocurrencies

Josh Dorgan came from being a nurse in a Nebraska hospital to become a 7-figure Bitcoin trader. The former nurse’s success story is rare, but it is not the only one in the crypto business.

Amid a job market widely disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, some professionals had chosen to change their formal duties to cope with this situation.

The 31-year-old male nurse, Josh Dorgan, is the main character of a success story among the thousands of Americans who have lost or quit their job due to the pandemic outbreak.

Dorgan was a pediatric nurse and hospital unit manager in a town based in Nebraska until he discovered that he could earn a better salary trading cryptocurrencies.

The healthcare professional revealed his story to Bloomberg. It all started in 2018 when Dorgan entered to explore the world of digital currencies to boost his finances.

He had come across a report stating that Bitcoin had approached a price of $ 2,000. The news caught his attention and prompted him to do more research on digital currency.

From Nurse and Now a Successful Bitcoin trader

However, the decision to leave his duties in the hospital to dedicate himself fully to operations with digital currencies would come two years later, with the coronavirus epidemic.

The Covid-19 outbreak pandemic in the United States of America arrived in early 2020 and complicated many things for Dorgan.

The United States of America has remained at the top of the most affected nations by the global health crisis. The high number of infections has collapsed hospitals, clinics, and health centers across the country.

Also, the staff had shortened their number considerably. The shortage happened due to the number of cases to treat, and in some cases, doctors have had to double shifts to meet the massive demand.

The increase and the pressure of work added to the possible fears about the risk of contagion motivated Dorgan to make his decision. In mid-2020, and after consulting with a financial advisor, the nurse proceeded to quit his job.

Although before, he also saved a considerable sum of money if it didn’t work out, he told Insider. While admitting he misses his hospital patients, Dorgan said he is ok enough with his decision. He now earns seven figures, has bought a vacation home, and has more time to care for his newborn son.  The nurse was also able to start a better routine for his health and including exercise and meditation.

He also added that he has invested in some of the most relevant cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ether, and traditional markets.

An Unusual Case of Success

Dorgan’s case is unusual because although a massive number of Americans are reluctant to return to their formal jobs, not all seem to be finding beneficial employment alternatives.

The group, made up mostly of professionals, was in a rejective stance when accepting a part-time position when what they needed was a full-time job to cover all their needs.

They also highlighted dissatisfaction with the salary offers, which they say are significantly lower than before the pandemic, and say they live with government aid. Others said they were afraid of getting sick if they returned to work.

Crypto Eats: the Food Delivery Scam that Stole Half a Million Dollars and Vanished

The platform promised to be the next Uber Eats but focused on cryptocurrencies. It got promoted by influencers and even threw a party in London before it suddenly vanished from the internet.

Scammers only have an appetite for one thing: Easy and fast money.  In the crypto world, this is not too different. Every week a new crypto-scam manages to fool less experienced investors and sometimes even the most influential people.

Crypto Eats, a startup that proclaimed itself the next stage among food delivery apps, disappeared after deceiving its users out of half a million dollars.

The fake platform, which gave away T-shirts, found support from influencers, and even threw a party before fizzling out, is possibly one of the most elaborate crypto fraud crimes in recent times.

Allegedly based in the UK, the platform promised to bring a home delivery service similar to UberEats with the difference that users would enjoy a feature that allows them to pay with cryptocurrencies. The project also included a native token, dubbed EATS.

An Overly Elaborate Scam

The company released a statement that seemed legitimate on which it announced the launch of its token and secured the backing of various investors. However, it all turned out to be a lie. After carrying out a first token sale, CryptoEats disappeared, stealing all the money from the investors. The VICE news outlet reported first.

Like other successful scams, the CryptoEats startup had many features that made it look like a real business. A press release claimed that the company had raised USD 8 million in a financing round. The ad also claimed deals with McDonald’s and other well-known restaurants.

The Yahoo Finance! Web portal and GlobeNewswire service, a tool for many legitimate technology companies to reveal press announcements, published the note regarding the scammer company. However, at the time of publishing, this statement has been deleted from both portals.

According to VICE, the startup guaranteed to focus on algorithm-based Blockchain implemented software, which also competed in parallel with popular services like Uber Eats and Delivaroo.

The platform had a web portal and its proper social media accounts, like all 21st-century businesses, and it mentioned a supposed chairman named Wade Phillips.

CryptoEats also claimed that it would have hundreds of restaurants to choose from and promised rare features, such as the ability for users to order items from different restaurants in one order.

The promises included the delivery of coffee in five minutes, a pension contribution to potential workers, and even a juicy salary.

Influencers Promoted Crypto Eats

The application managed to get promoted by many influencers. DJ Charlie Sloth, who has a million followers on Instagram, also got to promote the company and its app, according to VICE.

Also, the tiktoker and personal trainer, hstikkytokky, recommended the company and spoke to his 387,000 followers about the token.

Joey Essex, a TV show celebrity, also promoted the scam. Most of the influencers have taken to social media to offer their apologies for the situation. None of the reports revealed how much money influencers got paid to post the promotional content.

Nigeria Officially Released Its E-Naira Digital Currency, Africa’s First CBDC

The president of the African nation announced the launch of the legal tender digital currency: the e-naira. Two wallets got launched, and 500 million e-naira have already met issuance.

Nigeria launched its e-naira digital currency, the first CBDC of a country on the African continent. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari announced the official release of the Nigerian digital currency during a presidential event at the Abuja Government House on Monday.

The launch of a digital currency arrives after several years of study of a digital financial system led by the CBN. The e-naira project got initially announced in 2017 and has been making further progress this year.

The coin was scheduled to launch on October 1 but got delayed in deference to the 61st anniversary of Nigeria’s independence that same day.

The Official Launch of e-Naira and Digital Wallet

Designed to complement Nigeria’s legal tender physical currency, the e-naira got developed by fintech company Bitt, whose Digital Currency Management System (DCMS) is also leading the Eastern Caribbean CBDC.

According to the report, the official launch of the Nigerian CBDC included the release of two wallet applications designed for users and merchants: eNaira Speed   Wallet and eNaira Merchant Wallet. Both apps are currently available for free download from the Google and Apple app stores.

In a previous report, the central authority had clarified that the e-naira wallet did not intend to replace the country’s banks. The report also highlighted that the application would have several tiers; One of them designed to serve Nigerian citizens lacking a bank account.

In any case, as indicated, any level users must show registration data such as identity, passport, address, and telephone number. In Monday’s statement, the country’s central bank reported a new official website for the currency, where more details about the project appear.

According to a VOA report, the e-naira website had more than 1 million visits in the hours leading up to the initial launch, indicating massive interest among citizens. CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele highlighted that 500 million e-naira (valued at around the US $ 1.21 million) have already met their production.

The First Nation in Africa with a CBDC

In the first stage of the project, the CBN is responsible for the e-naira’s deployment, including the issuance, distribution, redemption, and even the destruction of the currency. But the launch is just the beginning.

According to the statement, the start-up will be followed by “a series of modifications, capabilities, and improvements to the platforms” as the country enters “a new era consistent with global financial progress.”

Nigeria has become the first African nation and one of the few countries to develop a CBDC. Countries like the UK, Canada, India, and Jamaica are studying the development and issuance of a digital currency. Meanwhile, China is the most advanced in the race to issue a CBDC.

Although some nations of the African continent are making progress in this matter, South Africa recently launched a test of CBDC for cross-border payments; Ghana’s central bank hopes to release its currency soon.

China Opened Public Consultation Regarding Bitcoin Mining Ban

While the National Commission asks for public opinion, the exodus of farms and companies continues. If the measures taken get reversed, it remains to be seen whether the miners will return to the Asian nation.

A Chinese government commission opened a public consultation to find out the opinion of its citizens about its decision to ban the mining of bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies.

China and its National Development and Reform Commission are trying to receive input from its residents on mining activities for cryptocurrencies.

The country has reviewed the Catalog of Guidance for the Adjustment of the Industrial Structure (2019 Edition) and is now requesting citizens’ opinions.

The agency enabled the consultation on its official website on October 21, so residents have until November 21 to access and express their opinions. Businesses and individuals from all walks of life can provide feedback, as the statement reads.

In 2019, Bitcoin mining got removed from the list of prohibited activities due to high energy consumption. Before including it again, the Government of China wants to know what the people think on the matter.

It is unclear what the government will do with the responses. It is also very likely that nothing will change. In any case, long before opening the consultation, the Asian country prohibited digital mining to such an extent that there was an exodus of workers from the industry to other parts of the globe after a series of confiscations and closures of mining farms.

Even recent reports suggest that at least 30% of the computational power or hash rate of Bitcoin mining now focuses on the United States of America.

China Seems to Regret Banning Bitcoin Mining

The United States of America now concentrates the best computing power to extract bitcoin, which could be generating concerns in the Chinese government and making them evaluate its moves on the matter.

A day before opening the public consultation, the National Development and Reform Commission published on the official website the news of the advantage that the United States of America now has, showing another sign that it may be regretting the decisions made on bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining is now a banned activity in at least eight provinces of the Asian country or more.  These restrictions happened due to the superpower China was in the past regarding this industry.

However, if the government reverses the restrictive measures on bitcoin, it remains to see if the large mining farms that have moved to other regions will return to this territory.

As a result of the crackdown imposed by China on Bitcoin, not only the miners but also the cryptocurrency service providers and the relevant companies in the industry are closing their doors now.

Meanwhile, other countries like the United States of America and Kazakhstan are enjoying many benefits from the massive exodus of Bitcoin miners that China caused.

US Senate Candidate Shannon Bray Shows how much he Supports Shiba Inu Token

The Shiba Inu boom had already approached American politics. The libertarian candidate wants to boost the price of SHIB to a new high and also appears to have political projects that might include the token.

The boom around doggy cryptocurrencies seems to reach no end with Shiba Inu (SHIB), the self-proclaimed Dogecoin killer, which keeps receiving a lot of attention. Amid growing popularity, the SHIB token army keeps growing, including a politician from the United States of America.

2022 US Senate candidate Shannon Bray used his Twitter to share his stance in favor of the Shiba Inu doggy meme token based on the Ethereum network. Bray was a great defender of cryptocurrency and even changed the cover image of his profile on the social network for one of the Shiba Inu brand dog, nicknamed Floki.

In his tweet, the American politician spoke to his more than 9,000 followers to invite SHIB advocates to “make noise” to boost the price by 20%. Bray assured that once SHIB recovers the $ 0.00003 zone, there will be less resistance. This recovery could help the coin to hit a new all-time high.

Currently the 20th cryptocurrency by market cap volume, Shina Inu is trading around $ 0.00002741. The token registered a substantial increase earlier this month that brought it very close to its price record of $ 0.000035, recorded in May. At the time of publishing, SHIB records a soft price drop in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu Had Found a Spot in Politics

The candidate has posted a message on networks related to Dogecoin’s rival puppy cryptocurrency before. A glance at Bray’s Twitter account highlights that the politician has shared his support for Shiba Inu in many instances in the past month.

At the beginning of the week, he had already published another tweet intending to boost the price.Bray is a candidate for the Senate of the Libertarian Party and showed in another post that his fanaticism for the coin reaches into his wardrobe. The politician has a sweater with the Shiba Inu logo that he says he will wear during the price increases of the asset.

But beyond showing his support for the doggie token, Bray seems to have plans to include SHIB in his political projects. In a recent tweet, he hinted that he has a project proposal to fund homeless veterans using Shiba Inu.

The politician also argued that Shiba Inu is a cryptocurrency project made for the people, which could help citizens in the US and the world. He says he is a proud member of this movement and firmly believes that the [SHIB] community can help millions of people worldwide.

But the political vision based on the token meme is not enough to convince everyone. On Twitter, several users have already criticized and joked about the candidate’s comments. Bray has worked in areas such as software development, security, and information management. Bray has come across as an enthusiast for digital currencies and their innovative technology.
