Investors Would Have to Wait for Many Years until Shiba Inu Reaches USD 1

Shiba Inu (SHIB), the memecoin dubbed the Dogecoin Killer, has gained massive popularity since 2021. Its price reached significant levels, which allowed many investors to become billionaires.

The memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB), also known as the Dogecoin Killer, has gained massive popularity since 2021. Many investors expect SHIB to make significant profits, while others wonder whether it will reach 1 US dollar.

In 2021, SHIB made gains of over 43,000,000%, which allowed many investors to become billionaires. Since then, the project has increased adoption and interest among the crypto community. SHIB even joined the top 10 cryptocurrencies in the market.

The launch of SHIB occurred in 2020 when it reached its all-time low of USD 0.000000000056366. In October 2021, a few months later, it hit its current all-time high of USD 0.00008616.

Shiba Inu is trading at around USD 0.00001155 and has accumulated a 5.3% loss over the last 24 hours. Its daily trading volume is above USD 382.55 million, while its market capitalization is about USD 6.82 billion, according to CoinGecko.

The Price of SHIB Might Reach USD 1

Although SHIB made substantial profits in 2021, investors still wonder whether the price might reach USD 1.

For that to happen, it is necessary to consider data like the current total supply of 589.6 billion SHIB tokens. If the price reached USD 1 with this supply, its market capitalization should be above USD 589.6 billion.

It would become the most valuable asset worldwide, exceeding Apple by about 235x. It is relevant to remember that the latter is the company with the highest market capitalization, according to MarketCap.

As mentioned above, SHIB is trading at around USD 0.00001155, while its market capitalization is about USD 7.3 billion. Based on that information and a projected price of USD 1, the supply of the memecoin should be USD 7.3 billion.

Considering that hypothesis, Shiba Inu should reduce its supply by more than 99%. In that regard, the burning of tokens aims to reduce the circulating supply of the memecoin.

There has been a burning of 12.6 million SHIB tokens over the last 24 hours, according to data from ShibBurn. That would give a figure of about 4.59 billion tokens burned every year.

Holders Should Wait for 128 Thousand Years for SHIB to Reach USD 1

The number of tokens and the burn rate would determine how many years Shiba Inu investors would have to wait. The current data indicate they would need almost 128 thousand years for the memecoin to reach USD 1.

Many factors, such as the SHIB burn rate timing, would also influence that. However, the little encouraging forecast might cause investors to think that they cannot wait for so long.

Cryptocurrencies play a crucial role in the world economy, of which SHIB has become a part. Other relevant memecoins are Dogecoin (DOGE), Dogelon Mars (ELON), Samoyedcoin (SAMO), and MonaCoin (MONA).

The Price of Degrain (DGRN) Rises by 300% in the Pre-Sales Phase

DGRN might outperform Polkadot and Avalanche and increase by 3,000% before September 30th. DOT, FTM, and AVAX are other cryptocurrencies gaining prominence in the market.

Despite the recent market crash, investors still become excited about cryptocurrencies, which might soon resume their bullish trend. Some initiatives look promising, which leads many to consider them the future of money.

These prestigious cryptocurrencies include Degrain (DGRN), now in the pre-sales stage, on which most investors are commenting. Other coins like Polkadot (DOT), Fantom (FTM), and Avalanche (AVAX) are also among the most prominent.

Investors Start Selling their Polkadot Holdings to Buy Degrain

Polkadot (DOT) is trading at around USD 7.92 and is targeting USD 8.07, a relevant barrier. The DOT/USD pair is posting a significant rise or further gains that might reach USD 8.50.

The price of DOT rose by around 1.38% due to the overnight gain of the DOT/USD pair. Analysts expect it to increase to USD 8.07 in the short term.

The market capitalization of the Polkadot token, about USD 7.73 billion, places it 10th in the cryptocurrency ranking. The DOT/USD pair has a daily trading volume of around USD 750 million.

Fantom Investors Sell Their Coins to Buy on Degrain Presale

Open-source smart contracts platform Fantom (FTM) often serves as the basis for digital assets and decentralized apps (dApps). It operates on a proof-of-stake mechanism and has a fully decentralized infrastructure.

Amid the current market crash, FTM has become popular due to its USD 0.33 price per unit. It has a market capitalization of about USD 860 million and a daily trading volume of around USD 94 million.

It Will Take Avalanche a While to Resume Its All-Time High

Many people had bought Avalanche (AVAX) since its launch when it started trading at around USD 3 in 2021. When its price reached USD 146 in late November, it outperformed Dogecoin (DOGE) and joined the top 10 cryptocurrencies.

AVAX is trading at around USD 23.82 and has accumulated a 5.2% loss over the last 24 hours. It has a daily trading volume of about USD 507.13 million and a market capitalization of around USD 6.76 billion.

Most Investors Are Talking about Degrain in July

The new cryptocurrency Degrain (DGRN) began its pre-sale on July 7th, selling over 11 million tokens in the first 60 seconds. Besides, the entire allocation for phase one sold out within weeks of the launch.

DGRN, which recently rose by 300%, might outperform Polkadot (DOT) and Avalanche (AVAX) and join the top ten cryptocurrencies shortly. Some crypto analysts predict its price will increase by 3,000% before the pre-sale ends on September 30th.

The same might happen in phase two as investors rush to join the most popular cryptocurrencies in 2023. Even though it is not yet on the list of traded crypto assets, it might become one of the best-performing coins. It is necessary to see how the market behaves before predicting whether its price will reach such high levels.

Crypto Winter Is Over and Bitcoin Corrects its Future

The biggest fall in virtual currencies and external events leaves an analysis of the coming months.

It’s been a rough few weeks for cryptocurrencies. Days in which Warren Buffet fans have enjoyed watching investors’ money disappear from the beginning of May, when Bitcoin was trading at 37,000 euros, until June 18, when it bottomed out at 18,000 euros.

The fever of investing in digital currencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum has suffered a major correction these weeks and has forced investors to recompose their portfolios and their ideas. They have learned how this currency works, that it has no network in the face of the crisis, and what external factors affect it. Something like the dollar and gold, which always fluctuate against each other.

Tesla

The last corrective movement has been that of Tesla. Elon Musk is a fan of the crypto world, but it has been known that the company sold 75% of the investment in Bitcoin. At the time he bought 1,500 million dollars and now he only has 218.

Although the movement may affect the price, people will have to read beyond the operation to understand how Musk has limited his investment in view of the extremely high volatility of these digital currencies.

The tough weeks have also cost businesses like Celsius, Three Arrows, and Voyager, which have gone bankrupt. Their numbers have prevented customers from withdrawing their money while they stabilize or liquidate their business. Another rectification that causes other companies in this sector to protect themselves thanks to lifelong entities.

Bank of Spain

The Bank of Spain has recognized the Bit2Me platform and will soon do so with others such as Coinbase or Binance, this is limited to advertising control, but the CNMV will have to monitor them closely.

Electronic wallets, rental benefits or currency exchange are also beginning to be regulated. It is true that many regulations are made in order to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism, but it is another step to give investors some security.

Fall of Luna

Europe is trying to launch a digital currency, a guaranteed currency that will never lose all its value as happened with Luna in the middle of the May 2022 crisis, although it is now trading at 1.80 euros.

The economic maturity of this currency has suffered a hard time in its learning curve. The markets begin to know that inflation, instabilities, wars, and other factors also take it to the abyss or put it at the top.

Experts still feel uncertain about the future. The cryptocurrency market is extremely unstable, as it is only speculative. It is possible that the next crypto winter will take away some virtual currencies forever.

Shrimps Buying BTC Faster than at Peak of 2017 Bull Market

According to a well-known analyst, the number of entities holding 0.1-1 BTC is growing faster today than it was at the end of the 2017 bull market.

In the vocabulary of cryptocurrencies, shrimp are entities that have less than 1 BTC. It turns out that today, the growth of this group of small investors has reached a new all-time high, surpassing even the historic bull market peak of late 2017.

In the equally well-known and humorous food chain of the Bitcoin network, shrimp rank near the bottom of the hierarchy, just above plankton, the last species of cryptocurrency organisms worth less than 0.05 BTC.

BTC “Shrimp” are growing in Strength

In a recent on-chain analysis, BeInCrypto noted that the number of small-sized BTC addresses has been steadily increasing, despite the deep market correction.

Both the number of addresses holding more than 0.01 BTC and those holding more than 0.1 BTC have been growing since the beginning of 2021.

Furthermore, this growth has further accelerated since mid-June 2022. In previous market cycles, this behavior of Bitcoin network entities and addresses has been characteristic of an accelerated bull market.

In contrast, during major market corrections, on-chain analysis tended to indicate a slight increase, stagnation, or even decrease in the number of addresses holding less than 0.1 BTC.

In a recent tweet, well-known analyst @WClementeIII posted a chart of the 90-day supply change held by users holding 0.1-1 BTC.

The chart shows a huge increase in Bitcoin held by the shrimp. Current values have surpassed levels from the tail end of the 2017 bull market, when Bitcoin hit an all-time ATH of $20,000.

In the current market situation, BTC is retesting this level after a 70% drop from the ATH to $69,000 recorded in November 2021. Bearish sentiment and extreme fear are creating radically different conditions from the euphoria and the extreme greed of the end of 2017.

However, the shrimps are behaving almost identically. Furthermore, they are hoarding Bitcoin with even more conviction that this is a good time to buy.

Why Shrimp Buy BTC

The extremely different behavior of small entities can be confusing from the perspective of the classic market truth that “retail trading is always wrong”.

If the shrimp were buying BTC at the peak of the 2017 bull market, the big players were the sellers. They dropped their possessions, leaving the market at the best possible time.

If, on the other hand, the shrimp are accumulating Bitcoin at a record rate after a 70% drop in ATH, who is selling them? Could it be that the big players are irrationally deciding to sell to the fund? Or do they expect more falls?

Another possible explanation is that the increase in the number of entities breaking below 1 BTC is not at all indicative of an influx of a large wave of small individual investors.

It could also be a large number of small addresses belonging to the same person or institution.

The latter possibility was suggested by famous analyst @woonomic in a comment on a tweet from his younger colleague. He wrote:

“Okay, but be aware that data from features like this are biased and overly optimistic about recent time periods. It takes about 2 years for the drift to stabilize. E.g. The small tx are supposed to be a new person and then found to be grouped into an existing person who has more than 1 BTC.”

Cryptocurrency podcast host @VentureCoinist, on the other hand, in his comment under the same tweet, seems to suggest the real possibility of the second option. In his opinion, shrimp buying BTC is a sign of upcoming dips:

“I’m going to pretend I don’t see the last time it went that high.”

Ethereum Classic Could be Making a Rebound in the Market

Ethereum changed from PoW to PoS on September 19. ETC was going through a hostile market on July 16, and on July 19, it started experiencing slight rebounds.

With ETC and ETH approaching high peaks for ten months, Ethereum Classic finally exceeded Ethereum’s native item Ether (ETH) throughout the latest crypto market recovery.

After striking a low rate registered at $13.35, ETC’s price approached a rate of $27 on July 22, representing a 100% profit in nine days. When expressed in US dollars, the ETH moved up to 64%. The ETC currently trades at $26.47, while ETH has crumbled to at least $9 at the time of writing.

Ethereum Merge

Ethereum will suffer a merge on September 19. Ethereum’s Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake network impacts the highs and lows of Ethereum and favors the price of Ethereum Classic.

On the other hand, stakes will take the position of miners. Because of this decision, the PoS move may oblige current Ethereum miners to employ PoW networks. Thus, investors believe Ethereum Classic will become the first alternative for miners once they switch from Ethereum, which is probably one of the most prominent factors behind ETC’s recent price increase.

Ethereum Classic Rebounded

The 89.68 percent perseverance registered on July 16 caused the alternative to increase, approaching its two-month high peak on July 19. This increase in the purchasing rate forced the bulls to close above both the short-term and long-term Exponential Moving Average (EMAs.).

The ETC recently went through a rude market; it has also increased its size to $25, giving it a solid opportunity to lurk in an optimistic market.

If ETC keeps getting away from the 38.2 percent support, it might make some progress before leveling off near the Proof of Capacity (POC). The amounts linked to profits would be the same as the previous ones. The alt would probably go through moderate volatility before exploding.

Finally, the general market status and improvements on the blockchain would be vital aspects. These aspects would be the main engine to achieving future goals.

Ethereum Classic is a digital asset with its origins based on the Ethereum fork executed on July 20, 2016. The Ethereum (ETH) community intended to restore the funds extracted when the exploit in the DAO code got discovered.

A part of the community had shown disagreement with such a disadvantage, and eventually, the ETCDEV team got founded, so the story of the blockchain named Ethereum Classic began.

Ethereum Classic coin has been tied to controversy because it does not receive support from the Ethereum Foundation but has some relevant approval within the crypto environment as it stands for the universal policy within the Crypto universe: You’re your bank.

While Ethereum Classic brings smart contracts the same way that the Ethereum network does, it has struggled to acquire the same fame as Ethereum. It still lacks some fundamental things that have obstructed its long-term evolution. Some aspects include insight, backup, and the extensive developer support standard Ethereum enjoys.

Many developers lost their faith in the platform after various attacks. Many experts have concluded that Ethereum Classic requires adopting the proof-of-stake consensus procedure to scale the transaction limit.

Binance Clarified that Dogecoin and Litecoin Housed in the Staking Program Would Remain on the Exchange

0

Binance clarified this situation after the inner efforts of the staking product focused on proof-of-work coins got questioned on Twitter.

Exchange Binance clarified that coins housed in its recently released staking protocol for Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC) proof-of-work (PoW) tokens would remain on the exchange and would not go to generate additional funds.

In an email sent to CoinDesk, a spokesperson from the exchange said today that there is no on-chain staking of LTC and DOGE for network validation as these are items without a proof of stake. User funds remain housed on Binance with strict risk management controls in place to consolidate their protection.

Criticism on Twitter

The explanation arrived after several social media influencers and investors criticized the program after it went live on Tuesday, discussing how it is possible to stake coins like DOGE and LTC as their leading blockchains using a consensus of proof of work (PoW).

Tweeters Spoke of Binance and another Hold Program

This program got named Locked Staking. It permits users to stake LTC and Dogecoin. Tweeters criticized how this procedure is possible when #LTC and #Dogecoin are PoW cryptos.

The Dogecoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin (BTC) blockchains employ the energy-intensive proof-of-work (PoW) procedure, with miners solving a computational problem to verify activities linked to transactions instead of proof-of-stake, which needs blockchain participants. Market or validators stake or keep a minimum amount of coins to confirm transactions in exchange for returns.

Therefore, DOGE, LTC, and BTC holders do not have the option to stake their items on a network individually or through an exchange for returns. Only native PoS blockchain tokens such as Polkadot, Cardano, and Avalanche can get staked and receive rewards for it, an activity called passive income.

Binance has updated the FAQ page on its website, highlighting the locked-in staking process for so-called non-proof-of-stake coins.

One Hundred and Twenty Days

The locked-in program got scheduled to last 120 days; users who signed up will have this position for at least four months. While the early redemption option is available, users looking for the same will have to do it without the rewards. The subscription window for this campaign will be over on July 26.

The program would offer up to 10% annualized percentage yield on deposits with rewards paid out daily. Some in the investment community got concerned because the double-digit performance may be too good to happen in real life and that the exchange may use the locked coins elsewhere to create additional profits, exposing user funds to risk.

Dogecoin creator Billy Markus (who signs as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on Twitter) sarcastically expressed his concern about the situation by saying that he can’t wait for 20% returns through sustainable magic.

The aversion to high-yield products is understandable considering the recent Crashdown of Terra in May. According to Coindesk, recent liquidity struggles at various lending and lending firms and exchanges are also a consequence of the mentioned Crashdown. Terra’s Anchor Protocol offered at least a 20% return on UST stablecoin deposits earlier this year.
