Braiscompany Company Closes Activities and Exacerbates Crisis

0

The Geração Crypto platform, a company linked to Braiscompany, ended its activities on March 20, more than 30 days after Operation Halving, triggered by the Federal Police.

In a note, those responsible for the page said that they worked for 3 years showing the potential profits of the cryptocurrency market.

The profile, which advertises itself as a CNPJ Braiscompany portal, also says that easy profits of up to 500% in six months are possible.

It is worth remembering that the Federal Police had already determined that the activities of Braiscompany had stopped since February 2023, that is, it is not clear if Geração Crypto continued its activities in breach of the measures.

This is because two out of three of the company leaders owned Braiscompany and are fugitives from justice, Antônio Neto and Fabrícia Farias.

Braiscompany Company, with Merchants Linked to Cryptocurrency Scam, Promises to Continue Activities

In a note at the end of its activities, Geração Crypto says that all its work was done by the company’s cryptocurrency traders. According to them, even with the court rulings against Braiscompany, they all continued “fulfilling the mission.” They go on asserting the following:

“It is important to remember that all work was done exclusively by our merchants and, even after Braiscompany’s court orders, we continue to fulfill our mission of delivering content and advice to our students, without any contact with partners.”

Despite continuing to operate, even with court rulings against most of its partners, the company says it has been cursed by customers, and has been object of accusations and slander.

With that, the company finally comes to an end, leaving a thank you to customers, some of whom have received no income from Braiscompany since December 2022.

“Thus, by unanimous decision of the merchants responsible for the content of Geração Crypto, to no longer be linked to Braiscompany, we come to inform you of the closure of activities in Geração Crypto. It is a very difficult decision to make and inform, given all the work we have built together with you during these 3 years. We thank all of you who have placed your trust in our work, many who have become friends, who have seen the evolution, the results, the achievements through the Crypto Generation”.

Former Braiscompany Traders Say uhey Will Continue Trading Under Another Name

With the end of Geração Crypto, linked to Braiscompany, traders from the former financial pyramid of Paraíba say they will continue to operate in the market.

According to them, with the name “Crypto Legacy”, the contracts of Crypto Generation clients will be able to be fulfilled until the end. The new platform, according to the traders, has no relationship with Braiscompany.

It should be remembered that clients contract a platform that gives them access to a group of signals for buying and selling cryptocurrencies. However, it is not clear if the new company is authorized to offer services and if it already has a valid CNPJ, which provides greater legal certainty to clients.

Since  Operation Halving against Braiscompany leaders, the company came to an end and paralyzed its activities.

Braiscompany’s own lawyers said that there was no longer anyone in charge of the company, with the disappearance of the leaders, whose whereabouts are still uncertain.

What’s Behind the Polkadot’s [DOT] Increase in Development Activity?

Polkadot has been ranked high in terms of development activities. The combination of chains and dApps in the ecosystem could contribute.

Compared to chains like Ethereum [ETH], Polkadot’s [DOT] development activity rate remained high over the past week. While this may not imply much on its own, it can provide insight into the future of DOT, when combined with other indicators.

According to a March 19 Proof of GitHub post, Polkadot had the highest development activity of its competitors. Looking back on the earlier days, Polkadot was also at the forefront of development activity.

Based on a tweet posted by ProofofGitHub on March 19, this was the GitHub Daily Development Activity:

“#1: 311 Polkadot / Kusama

#2: 226 NEM

#3: 153 Aptos

#4: 113 Celo Euro

#5: 113 Celo

#6: 113 Celo Dollar

#7: 94 Ethereum

#8: 78 ChainLink

#9: 74 Ribbon Finance

#10: 68 Zus”

Additionally, there was a spike in Polkadot development activity on March 18, according to Santiment. Currently, the development activity metric topped 100, marking its highest level in four months. There was a symmetry between the release time level on Santiment and GitHub.

Understanding Polkadot High Development Activity

Examining the Polkadot ecosystem may shed light on the phenomenon of persistently high levels of development activity. Like its Kusama testnet, Polkadot features numerous chains within its infrastructure, hosting a wide variety of decentralized applications (dApps).

The total development activity in the ecosystem can be increased by aggregating all the commitments made by developers across all chains and dApps. However, developers are constantly improving the network, which is positively reflected in the number of developers.

High development activity can indicate that the project is actively looking for new ways to innovate and improve, which can improve its prospects for long-term success. A strong team of developers and contributors dedicated to project success can also be indicated by a project’s high level of development activity.

Watching the DOT Price and Volume Trend

Development activity on Polkadot has been on the rise, but the price of the cryptocurrency hasn’t fared as well. However, at the time of writing, it had gained over 3% and was trading at approximately $6.5. According to the daily time frame chart, it was now in a slight rally after several weeks of recession.

The DOT volume also indicated that there had been little action. Volume was above 275 million at the time of writing, with no apparent increases.

Despite the market downturn, developers still seem eager to participate in the Polkadot ecosystem. If the projects reach critical mass, DOT and other tokens in the ecosystem may gain momentum when the bull market gets underway.

ETH Bulls to Target Resistance at $1,850 to Put $2,000 on the Line

0

On Sunday, Ethereum (ETH) joined the broader market in positive territory, rising 1.25%, to end the day at $1,786. The news that USB AG has agreed to acquire Credit Suisse Group AG supported a bullish end of the week. Technical indicators remained bullish, leaving $2,000 in sight.

Ethereum (ETH) was up 1.25% on Sunday. Partially reversing a 1.67% loss on Saturday, ETH ended the week up 12.19% at $1,786.

A mixed start to the day saw ETH drop to an early low of $1,763 before making a move. Breaking away from the first major support level (S1) at $1,729, ETH rallied to an early overnight high of $1,847. ETH broke above the first major resistance level (R1) at $1,822, before pulling back to end the day at $1,786.

UBS Agreement to Acquire Credit Suisse Bank Delivers a Bullish Sunday

On Sunday, fears of a deepening banking crisis were allayed by the news that UBS AG (UBS) agreed to acquire Credit Suisse Group AG (CS).

Investor relief was evident, with ETH hitting a fresh 2023 high of $1,847, before pulling back. However, while the Swiss government may have averted a catastrophe, nervousness in the banking sector is likely to persist in the near term. Assurances of government and central bank action to avoid a banking crisis should ease fears of a global financial crisis.

There were no updates on the Shapella update to distract investors on Sunday. However, ETH staking entries fell despite the bullish session.

Following UBS’s deal to acquire Credit Suisse, investors should continue to watch for bank-related news that could turn the tide. ETH and the crypto market in general showed resistance to the adverse events of the last two weeks. However, the threat of a global financial crisis would probably test the most resilient investor.

News related to the Shapella update, as well as regulatory and lawmaker activity, will also move the dial.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Action – Technical Indicators

ETH was down 0.34% at $1,780. A mixed start to the day saw ETH rally to an early high of $1,791, before falling to a low of $1,767.

ETH needs to move through the $1,799 pivot to target the first major resistance level (R1) at $1,834, and the Sunday high of $1,847. A return to $1,800 would signal a breakout session. However, Shapella upgrade news, as well as the crypto news wires, should be ETH-friendly to support a breakout.

In the event of a prolonged rally, the bulls would likely test the second major resistance level (R2) at $1883, and resistance at $1900. The third major resistance level (R3) sits at $1,967.

Ethereum broke above the 50-day EMA, currently at $1,704. The 50-day EMA has broken further away from the 100-day EMA, and the 100-day EMA has broken out from the 200-day EMA, providing bullish signals.

A hold above the major support levels and the 50-day EMA ($1,704) would support a break of R1 ($1,834) to target R2 ($1,883) and $1,900. However, a drop-through S1 ($1,750) would give bears a run on S2 ($1,715) and the 50-day ($1,704). A drop through the 50-day EMA would send a bearish signal.

0

A mixed start to the day saw XRP drop to an early low of $0.37392, before making a move. Pulling away from the first major support level (S1) at $0.3665, XRP rallied to an early afternoon high of $0.40107. XRP broke above the first major resistance level (R1) at $0.3865, and briefly through the second major resistance level (R2) at $0.3984, before ending the day at $0.3866.

XRP Tracks a Wider Crypto Market on UBS News

It was a quiet Sunday, with no updates on the ongoing SEC vs. Ripple case for investors to consider. As investors await rulings on the Hinman Documents and the Summary Judgment Response Briefs, news related to the banking sector remained the focus.

On Sunday, news broke that UBS AG (UBS) has agreed to acquire Credit Suisse Group AG (CS). The announcement fueled demand for riskier assets, with XRP and the broader market posting solid gains. The advantage came despite persistent contagion stemming from the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank (SBNY).

With central banks looking to calm the markets, a change in central bank monetary policy would bring additional gains for XRP and the broader crypto market. Having scrutinized the crypto market, regulators and lawmakers are now in the spotlight as calls to investigate the collapse of two US banks reverberate on Capitol Hill. The likely level of scrutiny could give the cryptocurrency market some breathing room in the near term.

Central bank comments will likely be an area of focus today. Following UBS’s deal to acquire Credit Suisse Group, central bankers will try to restore investor confidence and quickly end the banking crisis.

XRP Price Action – Technical Indicators

XRP rose 0.40% to $0.38815. A mixed start to the day saw XRP fall to an early low of $0.38501, before rising to a high of $0.38984.

XRP needs to avoid the $0.3872 pivot to target the first major resistance level (R1) at $0.4005 and Sunday’s high of $0.40107. A return to $0.40 would signal a bullish session. However, the broader crypto market and SEC vs. Ripple talk would need to support a breakout.

In the event of a prolonged rally, XRP would likely test the second major resistance level (R2) at $0.4143, and resistance at $0.42. The third main resistance level (R3) sits at $0.4415.

The 50-day EMA reached down towards the 200-day EMA, and the 100-day EMA turned down to the 200-day EMA. The EMAs delivered bullish signals.

A hold above the 200-day EMA ($0.37864) would support a break from R1 ($0.4005) to the target of R2 ($0.4143) and $0.42. However, a drop through the 200-day ($0.37864) would bring the 50-day ($0.37660) and 100-day EMAs ($0.37596) and S1 ($0.3733) into play. A drop through the 50-day EMA would send a bearish signal.

BTC Bulls to Target $30,000 on UBS Credit Suisse Group Acquisition

0

It was a bullish Sunday session, with BTC gaining 3.82%, to end the day at $27,943. The news of the acquisition of Credit Suisse Group AG by UBS AG was positive for the market. Technical indicators are bullish, with $30,000 still in sight.

On Sunday, Bitcoin (BTC) rose 3.82%. Reversing a 1.60% drop since Saturday, BTC ended the week up 26.54% at $27,943. BTC returned to the $28,000 handle for the first time since June 12. Notably, BTC gains came at the expense of Credit Suisse Group (CS), which ended the week down 26.10%.

BTC broke above the first major resistance level (R1) at $27,508 and briefly through the second major resistance level (S2) at $28,101 before ending the day at $27,943.

BTC Responds to the Acquisition of Credit Suisse Group AG by UBS AG

On Sunday, news broke that UBS AG (UBS) has agreed to acquire Credit Suisse Group AG (CS). Prior to the deal, the banking crisis had shed light on BTC and the crypto market in general. Regulators and lawmakers may need to change tactics, as the collapse of two US banks and UBS’s takeover of Credit Suisse are a tough call for investors in more traditional asset classes.

US Senator Elizabeth Warren called for an investigation into the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank (SBNY), noting that they were the second and third-largest bank failures in US history. Senator Warren was scathing, holding bank executives and the Federal Reserve accountable for regulatory backsliding that allowed failures to occur.

News related to the banking sector will continue to influence investor confidence, and central bank talk will also be in the spotlight. A banking crisis-driven shift in central bank monetary policy away from aggressive policy objectives to curb inflation would support riskier assets. However, while investors consider the latest news, investors should continue to monitor news and updates from Binance and FTX of the ongoing SEC vs. Ripple case.

Bitcoin (BTC) Price Action – Technical Indicators

This morning, BTC was down 0.25% at $27,872. A mixed start to the day saw BTC rally to an early high of $28,024 before falling to a low of $27,872.

BTC needs to avoid the $27,708 pivot to target the first major resistance level (R1) at $28,577. A move through the Sunday high of $28.342 would signal an extended bullish session. Crypto news wires need to be crypto-friendly to support a prolonged rally.

In the event of a prolonged rally, BTC would likely test the second major resistance level (R2) at $29,212, and resistance at $30,000. The third major resistance level (R3) sits at $30,716.

The 50-day EMA has broken further away from the 100-day EMA, with the 100-day EMA pulling away from the 200-day EMA sending bullish signals.

A hold above the major support levels and the 50-day EMA ($25,411) would support a break out of R1 ($28,577), to target R2 ($29,212) and $30,000. However, a drop-through S1 ($27,073) would bring into view S2 ($26,204) and the 50-day EMA ($25,411). A drop through the 50-day EMA would send a bearish signal.

The Cryptocurrency Price Drop Spurred a Revolution in the Bitcoin Mining Business

The so-called crypto winter of 2022, marked by the fall in the prices of crypto assets, put an end to the era of large Bitcoin miners, whose strategy was to maintain the world’s largest cryptocurrency for as long as possible.

Since last year, the big miners that held BTC for as long as possible ended up having to change their business model, choosing to sell the coins, mainly to pay their daily operating expenses, according to a report by the CoinDesk portal.

Keeping Bitcoin on hold is highly cash-dependent, made up of investments on the one hand and expenses like electricity, maintenance, and payroll on the other, an arrangement that has started to give most Bitcoin businesses headaches. Bitcoin mining has been at a low since the collapse of Project Terra in May 2022.

Bitcoin sales in Crypto Winter

Companies in the crypto sector began dumping their Bitcoin reserves in the middle of last year: Core Scientific sold 7,202 BTC in early July, at an average price of $23,000. With the sales, its reserves fell to 1,959 BTC.

Most recently, Marathon Digital (NASDAQ: MARA), which is one of the largest in the industry, sold 1,500 BTC. The company still had 11,392 Bitcoins in reserve at the end of February. At the time, the company did not rule out further sales in the future.

Hut 8 Mining Corp (NASDAQ: HUT), for example, which had not sold Bitcoin since January 2021, recently needed to dispose of 188 BTC to maintain its operations. Following the sale, the company, which had not sold any Bitcoin since January 2021, had a balance of 9,242 BTC at the end of February.

As Tim Rainey, CFO of Bitcoin miner Greenidge Generation, comments: “This selling trend was probably started by the hash drop combined with the need for liquidity during the bear market to fund operations and other obligations,” he told CoinDesk.

Other Bitcoin Hodlers Capitulate Too

It’s not just miners who have been affected. Companies in other segments, which traditionally held cryptocurrencies in reserve, dumped part of their holdings.

In December of last year, Microstrategy sold 704 BTC, for a total price of $11.8 million. The move was unprecedented, as it was the first time the company had sold Bitcoin since it began its strategy of accumulating the cryptocurrency in 2020, still under the leadership of its creator, Bitcoin evangelist Michael Saylor.

Even the US government, the largest holder of Bitcoin, may be rehearsing a sell-off. Earlier this month, around 49,000 BTC was moved between internal wallets. According to recent news, at least 9,825 BTC moved to Coinbase, which could be a sell signal.

Meanwhile, Block, the digital payments company created by Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, believes that developers can build better Bitcoin mining rigs and therefore plans to release a “mining development kit.”

The company hopes that the DIY kit will spur innovation in Bitcoin mining hardware. The idea is to build a customized, open source Bitcoin mining system.
