Would Sam Altman’s Return to OpenAI Boost the Price of Worldcoin?

Sam Altman, ousted CEO of OpenAI, will reportedly return to his job. How can it influence the price of Worldcoin?

On November 17, Sam Altman was unexpectedly removed from his position at OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, sparking debates within the artificial intelligence (AI) community. Altman’s ouster drew attention to his ties to Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project focused on the fair distribution of global wealth. The project’s WLD token saw a significant increase in volatility following the recent news.

Negotiations regarding Sam Altman’s return to OpenAI are reportedly ongoing. Incidentally, Worldcoin’s Tools for Humanity website lists Altman as co-founder and president of the project, and a spokesperson confirmed that the website remains a current indicator of his position.

OpenAI’s Sam Altman’s departure was due to Board concerns about his lack of transparency in communication and doubts about his leadership abilities: “We appreciate Sam’s many contributions to the founding and growth of OpenAI. At the same time, we believe new leadership is necessary as we move forward.”

Interestingly, OpenAI staff say they will resign if Sam Altman is not reinstated. Now, according to The Verge, the OpenAI board is considering bringing him back as CEO after his dismissal. Particularly, does the fact that Altman held talks with the company just hours after his firing indicate that OpenAI is in a state of free fall without him?

Sam Altman Generates Optimism in the Market

Some reports suggest Altman could consider returning, but insist on a revamped board and governance structure as a prerequisite for his reinstatement. However, concrete information about this rumored return is scarce.

The news that Sam Altman is continuing his work at Worldcoin-backed Tools for Humanity or returning as CEO could have a positive impact on Worldcoin price for several reasons:

Sam Altman’s experience: His contribution to Tools for Humanity could increase credibility and trust in the project.

Boosting Adoption: Ha could generate greater interest and support from the Startup and Entrepreneur community, which could contribute to greater adoption of Worldcoin.

Sam Altman’s departure from OpenAI was due to board concerns about his lack of transparency in communication and doubts about his leadership abilities. The OpenAi Board statement reported the following:

“OpenAI was deliberately structured to advance our mission: ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. The board remains fully committed to fulfilling this mission. We appreciate Sam’s many contributions to the founding and growth of OpenAI.

At the same time, we believe new leadership is necessary as we move forward. As the leader of the company’s research, product and security functions, Mira is uniquely qualified to assume the role of interim CEO. “We have the utmost confidence in his ability to lead OpenAI through this transition period.”

However, this decision has drawn criticism from influential stakeholders and investors, including Microsoft, who advocate for its reinstatement.

What Will Be the Fate of Worldcoin?

Days after losing more than 10% of its value following the news of Sam Altman’s firing as CEO of OpenAI, Worldcoin (WLD) recovered more than 20%. Especially, rumors surrounding Altman’s possible return to OpenAI have caused a rebound in the value of the WLD token, recovering from the previous crisis.

Specifically, according to CoinGecko data, the WLD token initially fell after Altman’s sudden departure from OpenAI, but its price has since recovered from $1.83 to $2.50.

In closing, will Sam Altman return to OpenAI? Could his return have a positive impact on the price of Worldcoin? The outcome remains to be seen.

Javier Milei has become the new Argentine president. In the middle of the political day, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a new all-time high. According to the official exchange rate, the BTC price accumulates a historical increase of more than 414,000%.

Javier Milei has triumphed in the elections in Argentina to become the new president of the Republic. In the midst of the political day that will mark the future of the South American country, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a new all-time high.

According to preliminary results, the current Minister of Economy and candidate for the First Magistrate of the State, Sergio Massa, has recognized the victory of Javier Milei in the presidential elections of Argentina.

During election day and, taking into consideration the official rate, the price of Bitcoin in Argentina sharpened its upward trajectory and crossed the 13-million-peso mark for the first time in its history. Bitcoin is officially listed at 13.02 million pesos. In this way, it accumulates a historical increase of more than 414,000% and more than 100% in the last 6 months.

Crypto Industry Heavyweights React

When taking the “crypto dollar” data into account, the Bitcoin price is trading at 35.6 million Argentine pesos, after exceeding the 37 million pesos mark at the end of October, according to data from Ripio.

Javier Milei’s electoral victory in the presidential elections in Argentina was highlighted by important members of the crypto ecosystem, including Paolo Ardoino, recently appointed CEO of Teter, issuer of the largest stablecoin on the market.

The CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and owner of X (Twitter), Elon Musk, pointed out through the social network: “Prosperity is ahead for Argentina.” Similarly, Marcos Galperin, founder and CEO of Mercado Libre, expressed: “Free.”

A couple of factors could explain the extraordinary rally experienced by the price of Bitcoin in Argentina. Firstly, since last October, BTC has recorded a significant rally amid speculation of the possible approval of a Bitcoin spot ETF.

Amid the hype, the price of Bitcoin has accumulated an increase of 25% in the last 30 days, registering a maximum close to $38,000 on November 15, its highest price since May 2022.

BTC is trading at $37,257 after increasing almost 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from BeInCrypto. On the other hand, the inflation that plagues the South American country shows no signs of slowing down. In this regard, inflation in Argentina reached 8.3% in October and accumulates more than 140% year-on-year.

Javier Milei is the New President of Argentina: Opinion on Bitcoin and Its War Against the Central Bank

Javier Milei had been classified by several analysts as “eccentric” and even a pro-Bitcoin supporter. On several occasions, the now president of Argentina was in favor of the use of virtual assets and the implementation of new technologies.

In addition to his statements in favor of Bitcoin, Milei has stood out for his war against the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, pointing out on several occasions that this entity must disappear.

“The Central Bank is a scam. It is a mechanism by which politicians defraud good people with the inflation tax. Bitcoin represents the return of money to its original creator, which is the private sector. The problem is that the states will not give up the forced course of the issuance, because that is where they scam.”

What awaits Argentina in this new stage of its history? Only time will tell.

NFT Week: Sales Volume Continues to Grow

This week, the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) continued its recovery in terms of sales volume, adoption and initiatives.

A new week goes by the NFT market with continuing increase in sales volume. For several days now, the blockchain-based collectibles sector has been regaining traction among investors.

The fresh air of a possible bull market for Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrencies revives investors. Big brands and collectors are slowly waking up and stimulating a sector that until a few weeks ago seemed lost. In fact, NFTs were undoubtedly the market hardest hit by the winter.

After hitting rock bottom, positive news now seems to be coming from several directions. In this work, we present you a brief summary of the highlights of the last 7 days.

NFT Sales Volume Continues to Recover This Week

The best thing about this week, as already said, is the continuation of the recovery in NFT sales volume. Although this indicator is still very far from the 2021 peaks, experts consider the recovery trend to be consistent.

According to data published by the analysis firm, Nansen, the sales volume in recent weeks continues to grow. In fact, there is talk of a jump from just over $50 million in the last week of October to nearly $150 million during the most recent week.

For experts like Jonathan Perkins of the trading platform, SuperRare, the recovery trend will last several months. With this in perspective, enthusiasm seems to return to the forefront and the most popular collections once again raise their minimum prices.

Certainly, this week’s results in the NFT market with its increase in sales volume remain low. Consequently, experts warn that victory cannot be declared prematurely either, given that the cryptocurrency bull market is not a fait accompli. It should not be lost sight of that Bitcoin continues in a constant fight against volatility.

Solana Projects Grow Nonstop

Solana’s top apps dedicated to NFT trading are experiencing an astonishing pace of growth. In just one week, the growth of the main projects accumulates 100%. The latter translates into a maximum of 18 months.

In that sense, this multi-purpose network reinforces the belief of a recovery of the non-fungible token market. Capital flows in overwhelming amounts to blockchain protocols thanks to many of its advantages related to scalability and low fees for traders and developers.

Mad Lads is one of those with the greatest growth and in fact it is the main platform in terms of the best minimum prices. This particular protocol shows a growth of 122%, according to specialized media. In this way, this week was presented as another of good results for the network thanks to NFTs.

Paris Saint-Germain Launches Collection

European football giant Paris Saint-Germain announced the launch of an NFT collection in partnership with Blvck Paris. The alliance seeks an original fusion between sport, fashion and digital art, as reported by the two companies in the middle of the week.

According to the parties, the collection consists of some clothing items. In this way, by purchasing digital arts, users also acquire the right to claim the physical equivalent of the certain garment.

On the other hand, it was known that the collection consists of 1,000 tokens, which are valued at $50 dollars per unit. Likewise, 10% of NFTs are collectible, which means that they are unique and have the characteristic of appreciation. Thus, the week of recovery in NFT sales volume closes with a flourish.

A Bitcoin Genius with Over a Billion in Unrealized Profits

Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy: Bitcoin pioneers

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor led his company to become the largest public holder of Bitcoin (BTC). With over 158,000 bitcoins in possession, the company has made impressive unrealized profits, surpassing $1.1 billion. This success is even more notable given that the value of these bitcoin holdings now represents more than 80% of MicroStrategy’s market capitalization, valued at $7.1 billion.

Saylor’s Investment Vision and Strategy

MicroStrategy’s investment strategy, led by Saylor, focused on acquiring Bitcoin over a three-year period. This approach involved the use of company funds, as well as proceeds from the sale of bonds. The total cost of these assets amounts to $4.6 billion, an amount more than 10 times greater than that of the second largest institutional holder of bitcoins.

Saylor is known for his ardent support of Bitcoin on platforms like Twitter, where he frequently shares his positive view of the largest cryptocurrency. This trust in Bitcoin reflects a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency and a belief in its long-term potential.

Under Saylor’s leadership, MicroStrategy has established itself as a pioneer in Bitcoin investing. Its bold strategy and long-term vision for Bitcoin’s potential show the importance of innovation and adaptability in the ever-changing world of cryptocurrencies. The future of MicroStrategy, closely linked to that of Bitcoin, will be followed with interest by investors, cryptocurrency enthusiasts and financial market observers.

Michael Saylor not only propelled MicroStrategy to the top of the Bitcoin world, but also had a significant impact on the broader cryptocurrency market. His belief and considerable investments in Bitcoin have often been seen as validations of the cryptocurrency’s viability and long-term value. His positions, particularly on social media, have frequently influenced public and investor perceptions of Bitcoin.

MicroStrategy and the Impact of ETFs on Bitcoin

The potential impact of approving Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) Bitcoin ownership by US regulators has been a topic of great interest for MicroStrategy. Many experts see this approval as a catalyst for an influx of investments into Bitcoin.

Recent discussions between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Grayscale Investments over converting its bitcoin trust, GBTC, into a bitcoin ETF have further raised expectations. Saylor and MicroStrategy are closely monitoring these developments as they could significantly influence the value of their bitcoin investments.

MicroStrategy: A Reference for Institutional Investors

MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin investment strategy has served as a model for other companies and institutional investors. By choosing to diversify its assets with a cryptocurrency instead of traditional assets, MicroStrategy has paved the way for a new form of institutional investing. This approach has encouraged other large companies to consider Bitcoin as a viable option for their own investment portfolios.

Furthermore, MicroStrategy’s aggressive strategy in purchasing Bitcoin carries significant risks, particularly due to the inherent volatility of the cryptocurrency market. However, the company has enjoyed considerable rewards, as evidenced by unrealized profits of more than $1 billion. This success highlights the need for a well-thought-out investment strategy and in-depth knowledge of the cryptocurrency market to navigate this dynamic space.

Under Saylor’s leadership, MicroStrategy’s future appears closely tied to that of Bitcoin. As the market continues to evolve, the company and its CEO are likely to remain influential figures in the cryptocurrency space. Its continued success will depend on Saylor’s ability to anticipate and respond to market trends, as well as the evolving regulatory framework surrounding cryptocurrencies.

Sam Altman May Lead OpenAI Again: Reports

0

Altman’s abrupt firing triggered a series of major departures from the company.

Less than a day after Sam Altman was unceremoniously removed from his position as CEO of leading artificial intelligence giant OpenAI, multiple reports have emerged suggesting that the company, or at least its major investors, which include Microsoft, is negotiating to bring him back.

The coup on the six-member board of directors, which included Altman and the company’s co-founder and chairman of the board, Greg Brockman, was led by chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, according to reports in The Verge and The New York Times. It was executed around noon on Friday without Brockman’s involvement and without prior conversations with Altman or the company’s major investors. Those investors (and Microsoft in particular, which has invested some $13 billion in the former nonprofit) were caught off guard.

Could Altman return? The chaos has its roots not only in what Altman was doing for the company, most recently illustrated by a jam-packed DevDay keynote just. a week ago, but on the off chance that he could start something new and compete directly with his former employer, according to Reuters.

A Series of Events Triggered

Altman’s abrupt firing triggered a series of major departures from the company, starting with Brockman. “I’m super proud of what we’ve all built together since we started in my apartment 8 years ago,” Brockman wrote on Twitter, quoting Altman’s previous farewell message. “We have been through difficult and fantastic times together, achieving a lot despite all the reasons why it should have been impossible. According to today’s news, I resigned,” he said.

Many other OpenAI employees followed Altman and Brockman to the door, including three key AI researchers, The Information reported. On Saturday, a significant group of OpenAI employees collectively threatened to leave the company if Altman did not return, according to The Verge, which on Saturday night updated its report to say that negotiations did not meet a 5 p.m. PT deadline set by those employees, “If Altman decides to leave and start a new company, those employees will surely leave with him,” the update said.

Observers have raised the possibility that OpenAI’s research team reached a major milestone a few weeks ago, forcing a showdown between OpenAI’s humanistic, nonprofit origins and its massively successful for-profit corporate future.

A “Terminator” Sort of Doom?

Given near-universal concerns that AI could advance far beyond humans’ ability to control it (a threshold known as The Singularity), a major breakthrough in AI would likely create a divide between people who want to slow things down and others who want to advance even faster.

Industry observers have called the first “slowdowns.” “It would have to be something that Sam [Altman]Greg [Brockman]and the board would agree should remain confidential in the best interest of OpenAI and the world,” RewindAI CEO and co-founder Dan Siroker theorized.

“Furthermore, firing only makes sense if the board can perceive that your actions jeopardize ‘safe AGI that is broadly beneficial.’ Prominent tech journalist Kara Swisher, who has been posting updates on the story on X (formerly Twitter).

Swisher speculates that Altman will demand a change in OpenAI’s governance as a condition for his return. “My guess is [Altman] will return only if (and that’s a big if) governance is changed, and that means Microsoft and some other big names on the board and not those [effective altruists] who think the plot “Terminator exists.”

Hoskinson and Cardano’s Sam Altman Joining Soon?

Charles Hoskinson approached Sam Altman for a project. ADA price increased after the tweet.

Cardano [ADA] founder Charles Hoskinson has openly asked embattled former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to join him on a project. Hoskinson acknowledged that Altman’s experience can be useful in creating a decentralized LLM for the Cardano blockchain.

Hoskinson posted on X the following:

“Sam @sama since you have some free time now. If you are interested in doing a decentralized LLM, then hit me up. Would be a fun Cardano Partnerchain.”

LLM is an acronym for large language models. It is described as an advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) model developed to train and recognize different human languages. A decentralized LLM is an artificial intelligence model that leverages blockchain technology to improve the security and transparency of a project.

According to what is stated on the website of OpenAI, a company created by Sam Altman, these models drive ChatGPT:

“[And] they are developed using three main sources of information: (1) information that is publicly available on the Internet, (2) information that we license from third parties, and (3) information that our users or our human trainers provide.”

A Quick Job Offer for The Man

Hoskinson’s request was born from the fact that Altman may have time on his hands. This is mainly due to his recent firing, as has been reported. Furthermore, Cardano has been fighting for the top spot in development activity with DOT for a moment. If Altman accepts the proposal, then the project could solidify its position as a leader by the metric.

The status of Cardano development activity has been being evaluated. Using Santiment’s on-chain data, the analysis revealed that there has been a slight drop in the metric. Development activity measures the dedication developers have toward network updates.

An increase in the metric suggests an increase in the number of new features shipped. On the other hand, a decrease implies a decrease in the network polishing rate. However, the decrease in development activity does not take away from the fact that Cardano has some important milestones during the week.

Bullish for ADA, but Little Chance for Cardano

Another metric worth considering is weighted sentiment, which shows whether the crowd is bullish or bearish on a project. In the last seven days, Cardano’s sentiment weighted had gone from 0.218 to 1.529.

This increase implies that the market has gone from a pessimistic view to an optimistic one. This thought process was also evident in the ADA report. price action. At press time, the price of ADA was $0.37. The increase was the result of a 6.60% increase in 24 hours.

However, are traders still bullish on ADA? Indications from the Funding Rate seem to think so. At the time of writing, the funding rate was 0.01%. Funding rates indicate whether open positions in the derivatives market are trending upward or whether traders are projecting a bearish trend.

Since the funding rate was not negative, it means that traders have more positions predicting another rise for ADA. Meanwhile, Hoskinson’s call to Altman may not yield anything positive yet.

This inference is due to the complicated circumstances surrounding OpenAI’s revered co-founder. Most recently, employees of the artificial intelligence company asked the company’s board of directors to reinstate him. The board has been considering it, according to CNN Business.
