The Salvadoran NGO Mi Primer Bitcoin received an important donation from Geyserfund.

Mi Primer Bitcoin, an NGO focused on BTC education in El Salvador, has received an important donation from Geyserfund to continue its project in the country. Geyserfund even mentioned that its curriculum may be the first open-source kit to launch BTC educational programs around the world.

Mi Primer Bitcoin, an NGO focused on BTC education in El Salvador, has received an important donation from Geyserfund. With recent success, the organization seeks to spread its efforts throughout the country in order to achieve a greater understanding and acceptance of Bitcoin among the Salvadoran population in general.

The good news was shared through the official Twitter of the organization. Accompanying the acknowledgments, Mi Primer Bitcoin reaffirmed its commitment to continue with its projects focused on Bitcoin education in the country.

On Twitter the announcement went like this: “We received 5 million sats from @geyserfund, a unique initiative that rewards #Bitcoin builders and educators! We’re very thankful for this and proud to share this with other awesome projects and Bitcoiners.”

Mi Primer Bitcoin is an initiative that has stood out for its focus on secondary education in the country. The NGO offers a structured study plan on Bitcoin to high school students – equivalent to secondary education in El Salvador. Students who successfully complete the program; they will receive a diploma in Bitcoin that will accompany their formal studies.

To date, Mi Primer Bitcoin has already graduated to the first promotion of its diploma. In view of the results, the project seeks to expand to more educational centers, thus promoting greater knowledge of Bitcoin among Salvadoran youth.

About the donation, Geyserfund commented that such a curriculum could even become the first open-source kit to launch BTC educational programs around the world. If so, El Salvador would continue to maintain leadership in terms of BTC adoption worldwide.
